Car collectors know it's not just about the vehicle itself, it's about the market. For over a decade we have been importing wonderful, unique, and special JDM cars and trucks, and we're sad to say that it's getting impossible to find these lovely little Nissan Sunny pickups. This pint size hauler is frugal, practical, and gets more attention than a GT-R at the local Cars & Coffee. Offered with only 49k verified and documented miles, this 1992 is fresh off a recent service and is turn-key ready to rock! Finished in a classic Nissan White (002) the body is in good nick aside from some light scuffs, chips, and dings associated with normal use. Rocking a few cosmetic and performance upgrades including Fortune Auto Coilovers and larger steel wheels, this distinct runabout is collectible, easy to service, and useful. For the JDM enthusiast who marches to the beat of their own drum, this delightful Sunny can be your Japanese Classic.

The cabin is cozy and bare bones but that's part of the appeal of the truck. Yes, it's spartan and includes a vinyl floor, and AM radio, the latter of which has given up the ghost. Manual windows and locks equipped, these are one less thing that can break and are period correct. The wind wings aid ventilation further and the two-tone seats are comfy and lack any major rips or tears. There is some light staining to note and some tiny holes on the driver's seat bottom. Like the dash which has some cracks, which were covered by a custom dash covering, this vehicle isn't perfect, but it has held up well over the years. The heat works as it should and all the switchgear is at hand. It even has a sizable glovebox and passenger side cup holder.

As this truck was largely left the same through its 23-year-long production run, parts aren't tough to find. Under the bonnet sits the fire-breathing 1.2L A12 engine. Fresh off an oil and filter service, the mill fires up promptly with the twist of the key, thanks to a newly installed 12v battery. The little powerplant idles with confidence thanks to new spark plugs and wires, and benefits from a slate of other services. To keep the A12 topped up on oil we also replaced the rear main seal while we installed a new clutch. These expensive preventative maintenance items will save the next owner some serious coin and add some peace of mind. The four-speed manual completes gear changes without a grind or hitch and sends power to the rear wheels. While this Sunny won't be laying waste to any Hellcats, it does make enough power to get up to highway speeds and sustain them. The tiny exterior dimensions are fantastic in the city, and the little Nissan is maneuverable in tight confines. One of our trained techs added Fortune Auto coilovers upfront, which aids handling and the rear has been dropped down a few inches with a set of custom blocks. While a tad firm the Sunny can handle the rigors of daily use and we also installed a new right rear axle seal while it was up on the lift. The brakes can handle stopping this lightweight down to manageable speeds, and the time attack style 14" steel wheels are wrapped in new all-season tires on all four corners. The new rubber quiets down the road noise noticeably and will provide plenty of grip for tens of thousands of miles to come.
