1992 Nissan Gloria Y32 Ultima
The Y32 platform is not only affordable and accessible but it is visually appealing and feature-filled as well. With its handsome aesthetics, supple ride quality, and smooth, reliable V6 this Gloria delivers a hassle-free ownership experience. This 1992 model, with only 56K verified miles, is finished in Silky Snow Pearl (WK1) paint which has a deep luster that really pops in the sunlight. The pearl color really compliments the boxy, muscular factory styling, and the large 19" Work Schwert polished wheels. The paint does have some minor imperfections and routine small blemishes, as to expect with any car that's been driven off the showroom floor a quarter-century ago, but the clear coat is still serviceable at its age. Completed with the OEM optional rear spoiler as well as the OEM optional rain guards, the appearance is stately and upscale.
The interior has been kept to the same standards, if not better than the exterior has. The seats look as if they've hardly ever been sat in and are finished in bluish-gray, thatched cloth. Both the seats and carpets are free of any rips/tears or notable stains, and the headliner is immaculate. Even the traditional bolster wear is nonexistent on the seats, and long cruises are to be had in comfort! Being a proper luxury sedan the Y32 comes well equipped. Fitted with power windows, power-folding mirrors, and locks, this near executive saloon even has a business card holder! Automatic climate control came standard and is blowing nice and cold, and the heat is functional as well. Of note, the turbo equipped vehicles featured power seats, unlike the base model. The interior has been left all original, just the way Nissan intended it to be, including the classy analog clock in the center of the dash. The OEM audio functions well, and the speakers pump in the tunes. Privacy tint keeps temps down and shades the interior from prying eyes.
Under the hood is the robust dual overhead cam V6 (VG30DET) starts right up and idles quietly. Its compact size, decent torque, and turbo sounds are great for daily driving. The power plant benefits from a new engine air filter, timing belt, water pump, and a fresh oil and filter service. Power delivery is smooth and pulls strong from a standstill. The transmission engages with ease and shifts crisply when coming up to speed. Optional snow and sport settings help to make it the perfect daily driver for any situation. As for the suspension, new height and dampening adjustable aftermarket coilovers make for a slightly firmer ride, keep the car looking good and flat in the twisties. The factory disc brakes easily stop this midsize sedan, and a good amount of grip comes from brand new, 19" all-season tires which have been mounted and balanced by one of our trained technicians.
