The 80 series Land Cruiser has proven itself, both here stateside and abroad, as one of the most capable and reliable Toyotas ever produced. It's hard to believe these are 30 years old, as they outperform most modern SUVs offered today. This 1992 VX Limited checks all the right boxes, and features an incredible drivetrain and a spacious and well-equipped interior, too. Offered with an impressive 93k verified and documented miles, this recently serviced Land Cruiser is barely broken in. Enthusiasts will love that this turbo diesel is equipped with triple lockers and has an extremely rare leather interior. Finished in a classic Dark Green Pearl (6M1) this rig is accented by chrome lower moldings, diamond plate side steps, and matte black Sahara style wheels. The paint is in good shape aside from some minor scratches and dings associated with normal use, and notable prior repairs in Japan include a replacemnt right rear quarter panel. As a family hauler or competent off-roader, this SUV will not disappoint. The iconic styling, bulletproof diesel engine, and the all-season 4WD system make this Land Cruiser a bonefide Japanese Classic

The cabin includes an excessive amount of interior space and some pretty awesome optional equipment like the factory cool box and heated seats. The dash is in great condition with no major UV damage or cracks and is complemented by subtle wood grain accents. The factory steering wheel is worn under the cover which is consistent with other Toyotas of its age. The gray leather seats are in nice shape with only some light cracking and show no rips or tears, but the power adjustment functions no longer work on the passenger side. The leather accented door cards are also in great shape, only showing light staining on the left front door card. The OEM head unit still works properly, and provides entertainment for the daily commute or long trips. An easy-to-use automatic climate control boasts cold A/C, thanks to a new condenser, and piping hot heat to suit any climate you may encounter. You’ll find the rear air controls help ensure the passengers are comfortable while traveling in the rear of this SUV. Power windows, power mirrors and power locks all operate properly but the power sunroof is currently inoperable. Resisting any major wear over the years, the carpets and headliner still show well with no notable imperfections. It's clear to us this classic was well cared for in a prior life, and even retains its original owner’s manuals, maintenance books, and OEM carpeted floor mats.

Powering this Cruiser is the famed 1HD-T straight-six turbo diesel. Fresh off a recent oil and filter service this 4.2l cranks to life quickly with the turn of a key thanks to two new 12v batteries. The engine idles with confidence thanks to a brand-new air filter, and acceleration is surprising for a diesel, making easy work of merging onto the highway and maintaining freeway speeds. Power is sent through all four wheels via a smooth shifting automatic transmission and a 4WD transfer case. Equipped with triple locking differentials it’s plenty capable if you find yourself in a pickle while venturing off the tarmac. The suspension provides plenty of ground clearance and can handle the rigors of daily use and abuse. The power-assisted steering is communicative and the brakes slow the rig down easily now thanks to the brand-new brake master cylinder. New all-terrain Falken tires were mounted and balanced at all four corners. The new rubber looks mean but more importantly will last for tens of thousands of miles to come. We even replaced the spare!
