The Mazda/Efini RD-7 chassis code FD3S is one of the most iconic sports cars Japan has ever produced. It's stunning good looks, lightweight chassis, and powerful rotary engine make it one of the best Japanese sports cars the world has seen to date. This example is remarkably clean and with just 14k original miles it easy to see why. The exterior is finished in beautiful Competition Yellow Mica and is certainly a rare color in the US. The body is in amazing condition with no major dents or dings. The exterior remains 100% stock and original including the rare optional rear window visor. The J9 color code paint is in excellent condition and shows just minor fading on the plastic bumpers from UV exposure over the years. The factory front lip is also in very good condition but does show minor scrapes on the lower portion.

The interior is also in beautiful condition and is one of the cleanest we have seen to date. The steering wheel, dash, all leather items, carpet, etc all look to be in near new condition. The seats show extremely little to no wear and have no rips or stains. The door panels are also in excellent condition, however the map compartment on the driver door is missing the lid, which is extremely common on FD's. The only other notable negative in the interior are the aluminum beauty scuff plates are starting to oxidize. This of course is not a huge issue, but noticeable when the doors are open and easily replaced if desired. Also included are an excellent condition set of OEM floor mats.

Mechanically this RX-7 starts quickly and shows no signs of smoking at idle or under acceleration. Boost comes on quickly and shifts through the automatic transmission are smooth and effortless. Having been through our mechanical inspection with flying colors, it is apparent this FD has been well maintained throughout it's life in Japan. An all original Efini RX-7 with miles this low leaves little to be desired. All this car needs now is to be enjoyed by it's new owner.
