Although the SW20 MR2 was available in the U.S., the Japanese market received more variety when it came to available trim packages. Standard features for this 1991 Turbo GT model include alcantera/leather seats and door panels, power folding mirrors, steering fog lamps, OEM front lip, and rear spoiler. The exterior on this MR2 is in good condition and remains in stock form with the exception of aftermarket 15” wheels. The body is straight with no major dents or dings. The paint is in similar shape and still shines very nicely. This model is equipped with t-tops which have recently had brand new seals installed.

Inside a few changes have been made which include a Nardi steering wheel and aftermarket shift knob. The t-top shades, which commonly go missing, are present and included. There are some minor blemishes on the cluster trim and light staining on passenger seat. The driver’s seat shows typical wear for an older vehicle, but no major rips or tears. The dash is free of cracks and the door panels show minimal wear.

Mechanically it drives excellently – the 3S-GTE engine starts right away and accelerates nicely. Shifts through the E153 5 speed manual transmission are smooth and the clutch does not slip. Standard features for turbo models include better gear ratios, stronger axles, twin-piston front brake calipers. Currently this MR2 has just 56k original miles.
