It's insane how well built early 90's Toyotas are, and the Hilux might take the cake as the very best! Offered with only 59K verified miles this truck is fitted with a reliable 3.0L gasoline engine. This 1991 features a 4x4 system ready to conquer the great unknown all with a slew of power amenities. Finished in Blue Pearl (8E3), the body is in good shape other than some minor dings, scuffs, and chips associated with normal use. Touting its rare Recaro factory interior, functional sunroof, and oversized Falken rubber this SUV is the real deal!
The cockpit design is clean and simple. The view of the road is commanding, and the low lying dash is in good shape without any major imperfections. The center stack features two cupholders, automatic climate, and functional OEM audio. Power windows, mirrors, and locks are standard, and the Hilux even includes a tilt column. The carpets are in good nick, other than some light staining, and the headliners and door cards have all been nicely taken care of over the years. The rare Recaro buckets offer fantastic support and look incredibly sporty. They are comfy on long cruises and have no major rips, stains, or tears to note. A functional sunroof adds some more ventilation to the cockpit and can be used in unison with the power rear window to provide come natural cooling.
The driveline is prized for its low cost of ownership, low-end torque, and readily available parts. Since it was sold here stateside some clients of ours even service at the local dealer! At 2958cc, this V6 packs good power and doesn't drink fuel as an eight would. With a twist of a key, the engine jolts to life and has just benefitted from a fresh semi-synthetic oil and filter service. The idle is more civilized than its diesel stablemate while keeping the acceleration similar. The automatic transmission shifts as it should and power can be sent through all four wheels or just the rear if preferred. Toyotas TEMS adjustable suspension is equipped on this example, and you can subtly change the ride quality by toggling a dash-mounted switch. The SUV plods along the roadway and isn't phased by large or small road imperfections. The power steering is properly weighted and the brakes feel confident in stopping this midsize ute. New 31" Falken have been mounted on a set of aftermarket alloys by one of our trained technicians. They handle the mud, snow, and tarmac well, delivering premium traction when necessary.
