The second generation of the Mitsubishi Pajero debuted in 1991. It was completely redesigned and featured ground-breaking technology for its time.

Features such as Super Select 4WD and multimode ABS were first for Japanese 4WD vehicles. The 4WD system has the benefits of both part-time and full-time four-wheel drive and allows drives to switch between two-wheel and four-wheel drive at speeds up to 60 mph. The exterior on this example is in good shape and has been left OEM in appearance down to the original wheels and full size spare. The body is straight and no major dents or dings. The paint is in similar condition and shines nicely with just minor rock chips on the hood.

The interior has some minor stains on the carpet but otherwise is very nice. A factory optional middle-row sunroof is present and functions correctly. The dash has no cracks or bubbles and features a neat OEM gauge cluster with a clinometer and altimeter. The seats have no major rips or tears and the door panels show minimal wear. Optional third row folding seats are present as well.

Although the U.S. received the Mitsubishi Montero, it was never available in turbo-diesel form. This example is powered by the 4D56T 2.5L turbo-diesel I4 which starts right away and idles correctly. Shifts through the automatic transmission are smooth and the 4WD system is functioning correctly. Currently this V44 Pajero has 150k original miles.
