1990 Toyota Sera

This is the first Toyota Sera we’ve had at Japanese Classics and it’s definitely one unique car. The 2+2 coupe is well known for its futuristic design approach, butterfly doors, and glass canopy. The exterior on this one is in good condition. The paint shines nicely and no major dents or dings are present. The rear spoiler and roof paint show some signs of wear but overall the paint is very good.The rear hatch glass and doors still seal correctly and do not leak. The Sera also has projector headlights standard.

The interior is in good condition and mostly stock. An aftermarket Momo “Race” wheel and aftermarket pedal covers have been added by the previous owner. The driver side seat shows some bolster wear and has a patch, but all other seats are free of rips and tears. The Panels and dash are in similar shape and show no signs of cracking. The roof covers, which are often removed, are still present and included with the vehicle. The rear shelf and divider panel can be removed and with the seats folded down, so the entire rear can be used for cargo.

Mechanically the Sera needs nothing. The 1.5L inline four starts right away and runs well. Shifts through the automatic transmission are smooth and consistent. All brakes and suspension components function correctly.
