80 Series Toyota SUVs are spacious, refined, and most importantly capable rigs. This 1990 is no exception and is powered by a torquey turbo-diesel 1HD-T and full-time 4WD. Refinished from its factory Bluish-Gray (183) to a classic Black, and accessorized by a set of clear tails and tinted rainguards, the body is in good shape aside from some minor dings and chips associated with normal use. Boasting a massive cabin with plenty of power amenities, the best part of this rig is beneath the skin. Prized by off-roading enthusiasts for the OEM triple lockers that can be utilized to get through the worst terrain imaginable. Offered with a mere 131k verified and documented miles, this truck has been legally imported and recently serviced. A certified Japanese Classic like this can tackle daily duty if you wish, or tear up the back forty with the best of them.

The cabin is spacious and well equipped from the factory. Power amenities can be found throughout the cabin and include a retractable power sunroof and electric locks, mirrors, and windows. These all work other than the power-folding function on the mirrors and make commuting stress-free. The view of the road ahead is clear and commanding as this rig is much taller than the rest of the vehicles on the road. The dash has a logical layout with a fully digital climate control system that blows cold a/c currently.  We did want to note some cracks on the driver's side which are common to these dashboards. Other notable options upfront include an aftermarket center armrest mounted atop the factory CoolBox refrigerator. It adds some added storage and compliments the large passenger side glove box. The unit actually works and literally gets ice cold.  The seats are trimmed in a soft cognac and gray Alcantara cloth. They are soft to the touch and lack any major rips, stains, or tears. The headliner and door cards lack any major blemishes and the carpets have survived the past three decades without too much wear. That's not to say this thing is flawless and we also wanted to mention that the audio system is currently inoperable. Still, at 30 years old it's obvious this truck was cared for in a prior life and also comes with some limited service records as well!

Under the bonnet sits Toyotas mighty 4.2L 1HD-T. This turbo-diesel fires up quickly thanks to two new 12v batteries we just installed stateside. It idles nearly vibration-free and has just undergone an oil and filter service. This engine is loved for its refinement, fuel economy, and low-end grunt. The six-cylinder is mated to a full-time 4wd system and automatic gearbox. The transmission shifts as it should and this humungous SUV accelerates just fine and is geared properly for US interstates. Low gearing is available through the selective transfer case and the aforementioned locking differentials can be accessed through a switch located by the steering wheel. The brakes feel confident and the hydraulic power steering makes this massive five-seater easy to park. The suspension has been modified to accommodate a three-inch lift and the multipiece six-spoke alloys are all wrapped in brand new Falken all-terrain tires. These will last for tens of thousands of miles to come and deliver premium year-round grip.
