Stock #6299An adventure van can be inspiring, and this capable 1990 HiAce is just the ride to create some memories. Imagine tackling tough terrain or heading out onto the beach in this Cavalry Blue (8W2) eight-seater. Powered by a trusty diesel engine and a true 4WD system, the world is your oyster. Sure there are a few light dings, chips, and scuffs, but the mechanicals are top-notch, and this special rig is fresh off a recent service. Boasting only 76k verified and documented miles on the ticker, this hauler is barely broken in. Road trippers will be delighted to know this Toyota includes a recent timing belt and water pump service, and a slate of other maintenance for some added peace of mind. For those looking to share some experiences on the open road, this Japanese Classic is a perfect fit. Practical, unique, and easy to service, this Super Custom is the real deal! The cabin is in above-average condition and was cared for in Japan. The view of the road ahead is clear and commanding and the cab over design lends itself to top-tier visibility for those behind the wheel. The dash is in good nick and lacks any cracking or distortion. A large center console and glovebox are handy for forward storage and the owner's manuals and some service records are enclosed inside. A Watchdog block temperature gauge was installed here in the States to monitor engine temps. The dual-zone climate control is easy to use and the front and rear occupants can choose their desired temperature range without a van-wide argument. The OEM audio works well and the driver benefits from an adjustable steering column, electric windows, power door locks, and power mirrors.  These all work well and make daily use convenient. The gray upholstery is in good nick and looks The middle row can swivel and the rear can slide forward and be completely removed if necessary. The carpets, door cards, and headliner show no signs of major abuse and were taken care of by the last owner. Aside from a loose dash climate vent and a couple of nicks on the hard plastics, its really hard to complain about the cabin. The HiAce may look like a tall, cumbersome brute, but it's really quite nimble. The mid-mounted engine sits low in the chassis and rests between the axles. This balanced platform isn't nose-heavy like most American vans and as such the handling and braking prowess is better. Powered by Toyotas 3L engine, this HiAce is reliable and easy to work on. Fresh off an oil and filter service, the 2.8 liter mill churns to life. A new engine air filter and new fuel filter ensure this four-banger runs right as rain and one of our trained techs replaced the valve cover gasket while it was on the lift. The glow plugs were done recently as were the timing belt and water pump, so feel free to hit the road immediately with this baby! Even the EGR was deleted to lower EGTs. The automatic gearbox shifts properly and the selective transfer case allows the driver to select between two and 4WD. A 4WD low gearset can be accessed through a floor-mounted stick and Aisin locking hubs can be engaged for maximum traction. The brakes feel confident and the steering is light yet on point. The wheels are wrapped with some pricey Geolanders that are knee-deep in tread. Comfortable, spacious, and trustworthy, this van would be the perfect year-round ready transporter. *California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
