Stock #6151When the thought of a Nissan Skyline comes to mind, the humble sedan models are often overlooked. They provide more room than their coupe brethren, while delivering the same sporty driving experience. Leaving the factory with an automatic, this 1990 saloon is equipped with a manual transmission now as it should be. Finished in a Blue Grey Storm (TG0), with a classy grey cloth interior, this Nissan largely has stayed true to its original form with the exception of a few upgrades, including a factory aero bumper top-market Kei Office coilovers and a choice set of Bridgestone BEO S03 alloys. The paint is in good overall condition besides some minor blemishes, rock chips, and some discoloration on the driver's door. We also wanted to note some typical age-related wear on the window trim as well. Boasting a mere 68K verified and documented miles, this sleek sedan is just getting broken in and is fresh off a recent service. Responsive, reliable, and spacious this Skyline is a Japanese Classic the whole family can enjoy. The cabin is roomy, comfortable, and capable of accommodating actual adults in the rear. The analog gauges are simple to read at a glance, and the controls surrounding the gauge cluster are all readily accessible. The OEM radio and automatic digital climate control are intuitive in design and function properly. The A/C blows cold for our ever-spontaneous climate here in Virginia. Conversely, piping hot heat is readily available when needed. The dash is clear of bubbling and lacks any weather-related distortion, which is a rare sight on 33-year-old vehicles these days. Upholstered with grey herringbone cloth, it's obvious the previous owner did take special care of this car. The seating surfaces lack any major rips, stains, or tears, and are comfortable on long cruises. The headliner has no major sagging or stains to note, but the door cards do however show some very light wear on the inserts. Power windows, locks, and mirrors with power-folding capability all function properly and make daily use more enjoyable. For those passionate about originality, the factory speed chime even kicks in over 100 km/h as a friendly reminder that you're using this Skyline as intended! The RB20DET engine is a well-engineered powerplant with plenty of available torque and horsepower. With plenty of parts support available here stateside, we've done some necessary maintenance to get this one up to snuff for the road ahead. Startup is instant with the help of a recently replaced 12v battery. The valve cover gasket, oil, and oil filter were changed as well, buttoning up the lubrication side of things. For a bit of a preemptive tune up, the fuel pump and filter were replaced to rid your petrol of unwanted contaminants, and we flushed the coolant system and replaced the fan clutch so this RB always maintains a proper operating temperature. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a close-ratio five-speed gearbox. Shifts are seamless with no grinding to note, thanks to the new shifter bushings and Tomei knob we chucked in. We've also installed new spark plugs, aiding ignition and making the powerband surprisingly potent and linear. The factory suspension was ditched for a set of Tsuchiya-engineered Kei Office coilovers, providing a substantial improvement in handling throughout those backroad twists and turns. We installed a new lower ball joint in the front right and new HICAS arms in the rear as well to keep handling predictable and on-point. In case you need to come to an abrupt halt, we've replaced the front pads and rotors to keep you safe in any spur-of-the-moment emergencies. The power steering is light and easy to operate, and we've replaced a right front tie rod boot as well to protect your steering components. The BEO alloys are wrapped in brand-new Falken rubber. Road noise is to a minimum and they deliver plenty of grip when needed!*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
