This Mazda Cosmo is very nice condition and all original. Introduced in 1990, the Cosmo was ahead of its time, with a technologically advanced interior and the only production vehicle to feature a triple rotor engine. It was also Japan’s first vehicle to come equipped with GPS. This 1990 Cosmo is fully loaded with the Type-E package which features a “Car Control System” and “Global Positioning Satelite System”. The paint on this example still shines nicely. There is blemish on the front bumper, but otherwise there are no significant paint blemishes. The body follows suit and has no major dents or dings.
This specific example has the Type-E CCS trim package and is fully loaded. The leather interior is in very nice condition with just the front seats showing some light wear. The dash has no cracks or bubbles, the carpet is free of major staining, and all trim pieces are present. Standard with this luxury package is a “Car Control System” which includes a touch screen that controls climate control, navigation, radio, and audio among other functions.
Mechanically this Cosmo needs nothing and runs excellently. The 20B triple rotor engine starts right away and accelerations smoothly through the power band. The automatic transmission is functioning properly and shifts smoothly. Included with the Type-E package were twin dampers which provide a smoother ride.
