Stock #5021
Stock #5021***This 300ZX is in good structural condition and currently cranks but does not start. It has been tested and has good compression. We would recommend a full replacement and modernization of the fuel system to accurately diagnose this vehicle. You must bring a trailer to pick up this Z or have it shippedPaying homage to a racing icon, this 1989 Fairlady Z would make for a great project track car, street showstopper, or even a weekend show queen! While this Fairlady doesn't currently run or drive, the engine spins and the drivetrain is intact, and this performance oriented sport coupe has a lot going for it! Painted in a one-off IMSA inspired livery from Japan, this Z is set off by a Greddy front bumper, 350Z 17" wheels, custom hood vents, Bomex mirrors, and a rear lip spoiler for some period correct appeal. There's some defects in the fiberglass, but overall the shell is structurally sound and a great starting point for future maintenance and modification. An IMPUL speedometer means we couldn't verify the mileage, but that does little to take away from this project Z's appeal. Timeless, capable, and a consistent head turner, this Japanese Classic is chock full of value and would make a fantastic long term project! The interior is nicely outfitted for performance driving, as a half cage and trunk mounted battery have already been installed. The passenger seat is missing, however the dash cover, headliner, and carpet are all in good shape. The center stack is missing audio, however the digital automatic climate controls are still present to the left of the steering column. On the plus side, the glass T-Tops are fully intact and can be removed for a more open air driving experience. A full service gauge suite gives the driver an analog overview of their vehicle's vitals. A triple gauge pod frames a Tomei AFR gauge, and an Omori exhaust temp and oil pressure gauges, and the glovebox displays a boost and fuel pressure gauge. This cabin is ready to be outfitted with seating appointments of your choice, and just needs a bit of TLC to be brought back to its former glory. The dash is free of unwanted cracks or distortion, although we wanted to note it has been modified to accommodate the cage. Still, this cockpit doesn't need much and is equally as impressive as the rest of the vehicle. The VG30DETT under the bonnet is a storied platform and has tons of OEM and aftermarket parts support, making servicing and maintenance a breeze! Ours is loaded with old-school goodness and boasts a Greddy 16G turbo kit with manifolds and external wastegates, a Trust secondary injector setup, a custom v-mount intercooler, aftermarket downpipes, and aftermarket airbox. This twin turbo V6 is believed to have a fueling issue, and we recommend a complete overhaul and modernization of the fuel system, including a replacement of the rusty tank, to get this VG running like a champ! It's powered by an SPL ECU and mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox, which throws power rearward. Adjustable struts keep the chassis planted to the ground whilst eliminating any unwanted wheel gap, and the suspension is in good shape. It's recommended this vehicle be fully reconditioned and restored to prolong the life of the engine as we estimate it has not ran in over 20 years. For the experience shadetree mechanic, Nissan master tech, or diehard Z enthusiast, this Fairlady is oozing potential!*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
