The 70 series Land Cruisers were a home run for Toyota. They have vintage looks, rugged body on frame design, capable 4WD systems, and reliable power plants. So why didn't we see these in the United States when they were new? Only Toyota can say for sure and while much of the globe has enjoyed the opportunity to own one of these iconic Toyota SUVs, Americans have had to patiently wait until these turn 25 years old, to become eligible for legal import. The good news is, this manual gearbox turbo diesel 1995 example with just 99k verified and documented miles is in the US, legally imported, and ready for you to enjoy for the first time on American soil. This KZJ78 Prado is finished in Toyota's classic Black (227) over grey two-tone. While in above average condition for an SUV this age, the exterior does have a few minor scuffs and door dings along with some aging trim to be expected on a vehicle this age. The paint overall shows well and the factory brush guard adds an aggressive flair to the front end. Factory rain guards allow fresh air inside the cabin even when exterior conditions aren't so enjoyable. The rest of the exterior remains unmodified.

Upon entering the interior you'll immediately notice how well the 70 series blends the rugged styling of the 40 series Land Cruisers with a much more modern and comfortable interior. The seats are in great overall condition and show just minor wear to the bolsters. The matching door panels are a great touch and are all in good condition with no major damage to note. The carpet is also in very good condition with no rips or tears. The OEM radio is functional but will need an updated North American replacement if you want the radio function to work properly as the frequency band is different in Japan. Power windows and locks make daily driving stress free and this massive truck also includes cold factory air conditioning.

This Land Cruiser is powered by Toyota's tough 1KZ-TE and paired to a coveted 5-speed manual transmission. This 3.0L Turbo diesel is notorious for being a fantastically reliable and long-lasting engine. A selectable 4WD system makes these seven-seaters ideal for both your daily commute or a weekend out on the trails. Even better, if your friends Jeep gets stuck out on the trail this Land Cruiser even includes a factory winch along with the factory remote control to pull him out. The long wheelbase and beefy suspension are great on and off-road and the truck actually feels more refined than you would expect. Our technicians have also installed two brand new batteries, 5 brand new tires, and performed an oil and filter change, making maintenance simple and easy for the foreseeable future! Don't miss this excellent-looking, desirable, and collectible rig. You are sure to be the envy of any Jeep owner (likely still stuck in the mud)!
