The Japanese luxury sedans of the 1990's were a beautiful thing. While these large, elegant saloons rivaled some of the flagship offerings from legendary European automakers, none were as competitive in both style and performance as Nissan's Y33 Gran Turismo. Boasting a blisteringly quick turbocharged V6 powerplant, with enough premium materials and power amenities to please any VIP client, examples such as this 1996 Cima cemented these saloons in the hearts of enthusiasts as the Japanese executive car to have. Sporting Nissan's Arctic White Pearl (QR2) the exterior of this one shows quite well, with only a couple of light dings and scratches present on the body. We also wanted to note a replacement of the rear bumper in Japan. Exterior modification is minimal, but a tasteful OEM front lip, rear lip spoiler, NISMO side markers, and OEM rainguards provide the touches needed to make this one stand out from the crowd. Completing the four door's sporty aesthetic are an appropriate set of 18x9 BBS LM alloys. With Tanabe lowering springs closing the gap between the tire and fender, this Japanese Classic Y33 drives as well as she shows. Comfortable, powerful, and ripe with quality Japanese modifications, she's ready to cruise stateside streets for plenty of fun-filled miles ahead.

The interior is trimmed in a plush executive cloth and offers up plenty of space and amenities to comfortably transport up to five passengers without issue! The factory upholstery shows well, with no discernible rips, tears, or unwanted stains, and even the carpet and door cards have remained miraculously tidy. The sweeping low-profile dash houses standard dual SRS airbags for safety-conscious pilots and passengers, and the dashboard materials are in good nick, with no cracks, peeling, or even pesky UV damage to note. The driver benefits from both a tilting and telescoping steering column, with a sleek factory option MOMO wheel adding a touch of class to the already handsome interior. The center stack houses a US-spec ATOTO audio upgrade, with a functional backup camera that adds a touch of modernity to the interior of this classic chassis. The instrument cluster was replaced in-house at 120,870 kilometers with a highly sought-after NISMO unit. 33,368 km were on the cluster at the time of replacement, and the dash now displays 50,416 km. While sadly we have to offer this vehicle as unknown mileage for legal reasons, the back story is important. The automatic climate control unit works like a charm, and cold A/C and hot heat are ripe and ready for those living in a diverse climate. Power windows, locks, and power-folding mirrors work at the push of a button making the daily driving experience a bit more accessible. The rear bench is in good nick, and even the headliner shows no signs of daily use or abuse. The truck offers ample room for your day-to-day necessities, and we've even had a set of Imperial carpeted floor mats custom-made for this chassis. Privacy tint has even been installed all the way around to protect against UV damage and any wandering eyes. Overall, the interior condition is above average, if not nearly immaculate, and we feel the next owner will feel the same way.

Under the bonnet, the VQ30DET looks rather unassuming, but one drive might have you convinced you're behind the wheel of a European sports car! The turbo V6 fires up swiftly, care of a recently replaced 12v battery, while an aftermarket Fujitsubo exhaust emits a refined burble at idle without being too overbearing. Aiding in performance is a slew of quality modifications under the hood. This VQ breathes healthily, thanks to an HKS intake and Blitz front mount intercooler, making the turbo responsive and a true joy to listen to when behind the wheel. A Kakimoto downpipe frees up some extra ponies compared to the restrictive stock unit, and a manual Greddy boost controller can be adjusted on the fly to help dial in the boost pressure. All the modifications work in tandem to create a bespoke driving experience that's as sporty as it is luxurious. Shifts through the automatic transmission are smooth and plenty responsive, as this Cima feels most at home cruising the highways. That's not to say she can't boogie in the backroads as well, thanks to KYB SR Special shocks on all four corners that help dial in the handling, and we replaced both rear toe arms with adjustable units as well to shore up the drivetrain for the road ahead. Braking is confident, thanks to an upgrade to R32 GTR calipers all the way around, and a replacement of the front and rear pads helps you stop on a dime, every time! ABS is standard and helpful if you get yourself into a pickle, and the power steering is light and direct, as you'd expect. Good Advan Apex rubber aids in performance driving and will deliver plenty of grip for miles to come!
