The all new generation Delcia was introduced in 1994 and what a drastic change it was from its predecessor. A curvy profile replaced the previously square design and an all new engine touting increased performance bolstered the models already capable drivetrain. This 1994 Delica Space Gear is an excellent example of a go anywhere do anything adventure van and has a mere 84k verified and documented miles. The exterior is in great shape finished in a classic green over grey two tone, the paint shows great with no major damage and only minor dings and scuffs from normal use. Accessorized by a factory front bumper bar with integrated fog lights, side steps, and rear bumper bar the tough aesthetic is on point, and is certainly a Japanese Classic adventure van!
To call the cabin spacious is an understatement. The Japanese vans from this era and specifically the cab over design makes the most of the space available. Two large captains chairs share the front of the cabin and are in wonderful condition showing no major wear, rips, or tears. The funky pattern on the soft grey fabric adds a bit of flare to the interior and the both the middle and third row seats are in equally good condition. Even better, the middle row captains chairs swivel 180 degrees to create a limo style seating arrangement and the third row folds up and out of the way for additional cargo space when required. You can even lay all of the rear seats flat for a makeshift sleeping area in the rear of this versatile Delica. The dash is in great shape too showing no major UV damage or cracks. In the center of the dash you'll find a factory gauge suite along with functional climate control which provides cold A/C and hot heat to the passengers. The factory radio works as well and while it will not pick up USDM radio stations you can get your 90's vibe on with the cassette deck. That being said, speaker quality is what you'd expect from 26 year old speakers and could use an upgrade. The carpets and headliner have held up well with no major stains, rips, or sagging. Overall a very tidy interior on this classic Delica however we wanted to note that the factory volt meter is inop and the center vents only blow cold however, the sides vents blow hot and warm the cabin sufficiently.
The new power plant introduced for the all new Delica was the 4M40 2.8L turbo diesel 4 cylinder. This potent diesel mill is known for its reliability and provides enough power to be more than comfortable on and off the highway. Attached to a rugged and capable 4WD system you'll be able to navigate even the toughest terrain while exploring our beautiful nation or simply running to pick up groceries during inclement weather. Our trained technicians replaced the serpentine belts on the engine with brand new ones and performed a fresh oil and filter change as well. The engine starts quickly thanks to a new 12v battery we installed and settles into a steady idle. The brakes are happy to slow the van down thanks to new front brake pads we installed and we had the rotors resurfaced while we were at it. Four new tires ensure you'll have plenty of traction wherever the road may lead and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come! Don't miss this adventure ready rig!
