The Mitsubishi Delica L400 may be the ultimate adventure vehicle. A sturdy 4x4 system, in-your-face styling, and abundant interior room make ownership fun and enjoyable. This 1994 Exceed is finished in Black over Gray (X8UE.) Featuring OEM rainguards and in-your-face styling, the body is in good shape other than some minor scuffs, dings, and dents. Offered with only 71K verified miles, this gasoline-powered Delica has been recently serviced, and is ready to tackle any and all of America's highways and byways!

The interior is cavernous, and the Delica has a flat loading floor throughout the cabin, unlike its predecessor. There is a prodigious amount of room for all three rows, and the middle row of captains chairs can slide and swivel 180 degrees. It's an easy van to hop in and out of, and the white step bars are both fashionable and useful. The driver has an adjustable steering column, digital climate control, and an off-road style gauge suit all within reach. The A/C blows cold which is paramount this time of year. Power windows and locks are standard, and the head unit has been updated with a working Panasonic one. The tan seats are comfortable and have no large rips, holes, or tears. Like the carpet, the seats do have a minor amount of staining. As a Crystal Lite equipped model a massive moonroof suite with retractable sunshades unfurls with the click of a button in the cabin. They work as they should, however, the front one has been disabled. If you're using this as an adventure van, the view of the sky above is remarkable and might be this hauler's most impressive feature. Also of note are a few missing vents in the front of the cabin, some small accessory pinholes in the headliner, and some visible scratches on the interior plastics. Still, this is a 26-year-old van and in far better shape than a typical American example.

The robust mechanical underpinnings of the Delica are suited for tough terrain. The lifted ride height and plentiful ground clearance isn't just good for visibility but also serves the driver well when obstacles that would stop lesser vans present themselves up ahead. A gas-powered 4G64 four-cylinder sits far back in the engine bay, which helps with vehicle stability. A new 12V battery helps the four-banger to crank over easy, and a semi-synthetic oil service keeps things properly lubricated. Power can be sent rearward or to all four wheels if desired. The selective transfer case works at speeds up to 100 KM/h and is simple to operate. The suspension is confident taking large and small bumps, and the power steering is light and smooth when inputs are made. The brakes stop the van nicely, and the wheels are all wrapped in new Falken all-terrain tires for year-round grip!

This unique van is capable, reliable, and enjoyable to own. If you don't want to hop on a plane to travel this Summer, you can safely explore the great outdoors in this one of a kind Japanese Classic.
