This 1993 Toyota Hilux Surf is a tough five-seat SUV. Finished in a timeless Toyota Black (204) rocking a mere 69K verified miles, the body is in good shape. Other than a few minor scuffs, dings, and chips the truck is in fantastic shape. This rig features the most desirable drivetrain, the 3.0L diesel, and best of all its connected to a five-speed manual transmission. Recently serviced, and legally imported, this turn-key Japanese Classic is an offroad Allstar but happily handles the rigors of daily driving. 

The interior is straightforward, but in good shape and well-appointed. Power windows, locks, and mirrors are standard, and an updated Strada head unit brings the interior a bit more up to date. The gray dash is in good shape and features a center-mounted automatic climate. The A/C blows cold and the controls are easy to use. Even cupholders are included for the occupants up front (which was rare,) and additional storage can be found in the glove box and center console. The door cards, carpets, and headliner are all in good nick and compliment the gray textured seats nicely. The backbench and both front buckets have held up well over the years, and there are no noticeable rips, statins, or tears. The rear seat can fold all the way forward for maximum cargo capacity, and the rear window powers down, if you have some extra-long 2x4s onboard. Even the original owner's manual is included in the sale!

The engine and driveline are as robust as Toyota ever built, and that's saying something. The heart of this ute is a torquey 1KZ-TE turbodiesel four-banger. She quickly lurches to life with the twist of a key, thanks to two new 12V batteries installed by one of our trained technicians. A fresh oil and filter service has also been performed ensuring no scheduled maintenance is required for another 3,000 miles. Mated to a manual gearbox, the Hilux has the ability to drive in 2WD for maximum fuel economy but also has a selective transfer case featuring 4WD when more grip is needed. The gearbox itself feels good, and never struggles to find a gear nor does it grind at all. The gear ratios are fine for highway use, and the driving experience is much more involved than the slushbox equipped models. The TEMS adjustable factory suspension is pretty trick, with modes for firmer and softer drive settings available from a cabin mounted switch. The steering is power-assisted and easy to operate and the front brakes feature new pads and rotors to ensure the shortest stopping distances possible. Best of all, the OEM split-spoke alloys are wrapped in brand new 31" Falken Rubitrek rubber for year-round grip. We even wrapped the swing-arm mounted spare with a new one too.
