Exterior Overview

Take this Millennium Silver (K73) Hilux Surf. It’s reliable, capable, and easy to service as any model we retail. This SSR-X is set off by refinished OEM 16″ alloys, OEM rainguards, a chrome rear license plate garnish, OEM side steps, and some subtle privacy tint. Aside from some light dings, chips, and scuffs, the paint is in fine shape, and this rig is fresh off a recent service. Offered with a mere 93k verified and documented miles on the ticker, this 4×4 is barely broken in. Trustworthy enough to be a daily driver, and determined enough to be a dedicated weekend playtoy, this terrific Toyota can do it all. Interior Overview
The cabin is ergonomic, spacious, and well-equipped. Dual SRS airbags are standard, and the dashboard lacks any cracking or fading. The center stack is close by, and includes a large Panasonic touchscreen radio upgrade. It comes preloaded with some sweet Japanese tunes and sounds decent for its age. Above is a digital automatic climate control unit. It can be adjusted to supply the cabin with piping hot heat or cooled air conditioning. A sizable glovebox can be utilized for storage, and the original owner’s manuals and maintenance booklets are stowed safely inside. The tan upholstery lacks any major rips, stains or tears. The rear row split folds, 4 way reclines, and tumbles forward to create a flat loading floor that increases the size of the cargo area. The driver benefits from a full slate of functional power equipment to make daily use more enjoyable. Power windows, back glass, electric mirrors, and power locks all work like a charm! Pilots of all sizes will enjoy the tilt-adjustable steering column and optional driver adjustable lumbar support. The headliner, door cards, and carpets are in fine shape and have resisted major wear and tear over the past three decades or so. Even the keyless entry still works. Above average in condition, it’s clear this five-seater was cared for overseas by its last owner
Mechanical Overview
Under the skin, this truck is a beauty. Its body-on-frame construction can withstand loads of use and abuse. The same can be said for the powerplant, the 3RZ-FE. Fresh off an oil and filter service, the 2.7L whirs to life courtesy of a new 12v battery. A new fuel filter and a new engine air filter were installed as part of our tune up. We also replaced the radiator with a brand new one and performed a coolant flush, so that the four-banger could maintain proper thermal efficiency. The 3RZ is linked to a stout automatic gearbox that shifts like a champ. The pilot can choose between 2WD and 4WD on the fly, and a low range and center locker can be engaged when the going gets tough. For those sticking to the pavement, its powerful enough to get up to highway merging speeds with ease, and the suspension can handle the rigors of daily driving. The front sway bar link bushings and rear lower control arms were replaced to refresh the suspension for this vehicle’s VA state safety inspection. We also addressed a new set of front lower balljoints to tackle some beneficial preventative maintenance. It handles road imperfections with confidence and is a delight to cruise about, with its light power steering. ABS is also standard, and this SUV slows down quickly when called upon. Grip is handled by four new 31″ Falken tires, which were just mounted and balanced here in the shop. The new rubber looks mean, quiets road noise, and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come.

CARB certifications will have to be performed within the state. Depending on the vehicle and any existing modifications will affect the pricing. Typically CARB compliance will range between 5-10K.
