Exterior Overview
The R34 Skyline has made a lasting impression here at the dealership, beyond just its presence on the big screen. We find it to be the best driving Skyline yet, and a massive step up from the R32’s and 33’s we’ve been receiving over the past 10 years or so. This 1998 GTT is a solid unit, boasting factory optional Altia aero, which spans the front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and rear spoiler for an OEM plus aesthetic. Factory rainguards and Xenon headlamps polish off the aesthetic, and this sleek two-door looks swell in Sonic Silver Metallic (KR4). Save for a few paint blemishes, this iconic sport coupe is no worse for the wear and the 98k verified and documented miles on the ticker aid desirability. This turbocharged tourer is something special, and would make the perfect daily driver, weekend cruiser, or Cars & Coffee champion. It goes without saying, Nissan’s R34 is a textbook Japanese Classic!

Interior Overview
The interior on this example is one of the nicest we’ve seen in recent memory, which isn’t a difficult feat as Nissan bolstered these cabins with durable materials, reliable switchgear, and enough power equipment to make daily driving a walk in the park. The dashboard lacks any cracking and distortion and a center gauge pod is mounted dead center. Off to the right, the driver gains a OEM Nissan programmable shift light which can be seen in the periphery. The seats are upholstered in gray sport mesh and are free of any unwanted rips, stains, or tears. One of our favorite trends with newer models, Nissan equipped the R34 with dual SRS airbags up front and increased crash support all the way around, which is a big step up from some of the tin cans that were on the road years prior. The cabin is comfortable, and digital automatic climate control is easy to access if you need to dial in cold A/C or hot heat. Pioneer audio is also on hand to add a soundtrack your drive. Bluetooth hands-free tech allows the driver to keep their eyes on the road when accepting a call, too. For daily use situations, power windows work as advertised, as do the locks and side mirrors, which electronically fold if you need to maneuver into a tight parking spot. The dash is free of unwanted cracks, fading, or distortion, and the same can be said for the remaining interior materials, including the clean headliner and carpets below. Even the OEM carpet mats are included with the purchase of this coupe!

Mechanical Overview
There’s a lot of good things to say about the R34, but the revised RB25DET NEO under the hood is definitely a standout feature, in our opinion. These punchy inline sixes offer up gobs of power and take quite well to modification when you inevitably get the itch. It cranks over with swiftness, care of a new 12v battery and a fresh oil and filter service keeps it chugging along at idle. It sounds a bit throatier than stock with its free-flowing Fujitsubo catback. Under throttle, the NEO is an animal and jets up to highway speeds with haste. A five-speed manual gearbox is easy to operate, and shoots power to the rear wheels. The stock suspension is plenty comfortable and responsive on this sports coupe. The steering is also on point, and features HICAS to aid high-speed stability. We bolstered the ABS brakes with new pads and rotors up front, and wrapped the OEM six-spoke alloys in grippy new Falkens. The new rubber reduces road noise, and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come. Turn key and ready to rock, this super Skyline just needs a new owner!
