There are few vehicles on our lot as versatile as this 4WD Toyota Hiace SCL. With more space than our trucks and SUVs, more features than our lowly stateside Toyota vans, and underpinned by a sturdy and responsive turbodiesel drivetrain, our 1998 Hiace gets the job done! Finished is a classic Light Beige over Reddish Brown (21T), this Toyota has been accented with stunning graphics, OEM rainguards, a factory rear spoiler, and some refinished alloys. Fresh off a recent service, and turn key ready to roll, this van boasts only 115k verified/documented miles. For a true do it all hauler with Japanese Classic spirit, this Super Custom Limited is truly the ticket. Practical, reliable, safe, and spacious, it ticks almost every box you can ask for!

The cabin is in far above-average shape and includes some rare and desirable options. We would like to give a quick shoutout to the massive sunroof suite, which is the highlight of the HiAce. The huge center glass panel can be retracted for a view of the heavens above and provides additional ventilation when called upon. The rear also powers up to vent, as does the front sunroof manually. The upholstery is in above-average shape and trimmed in a soft cognac cloth. The material lacks any major rips, stains, or tears and the middle row can be swiveled 180 degrees to allow your passengers to face each other. All three rows also lay flat to form a flat sleeping surface. The driver benefits from a power seat, snazzy backlit gauges, and an electrically adjustable steering column to find the ideal driving position. Daily use is made more enjoyable with functional power locks, windows, mirrors, and a Kenwood audio upgrade. This 1998 also includes cruise control if a longer commute is on the docket. For those with little ones, a soft-close sliding door will keep your battery from being drained if it's not shut properly. Additionally, dual-zone heating and cooling are handy and work properly. Rarely found and in good working order, Toyotas sonar backup sensors can save you from an expensive front and rear bumper replacement, and dual SRS front airbags are important for the safety-conscious crowd. The carpets, headliner, and door cards are in good shape and it appears this van was cared for in a prior life.  That's not to say the cabin is perfect as we did want to note the side folding mirrors are inoperable. On the positive side, the dash lacks any cracking or fading and the sizable glovebox includes the original owner's manual, which is included in the sale.

The mid-mounted 1KZ-TE turbodiesel is connected to an automatic transmission and full-time 4WD. Known for its power, efficiency, durability, and longevity, this engine is the one to have! Fresh off and filter and filter service the 3.0L churns to life care of a new 12v battery. A new fuel filter has been exchanged for the old one and the four-banger runs like a champ. Acceleration is impressive and sustained highway driving is comfortable. The short wheelbase and cabover design pay dividends when maneuvering about the city, as well. The suspension is soft and predictable and the power steering is light, yet on point. The brakes are capable of stopping this midsize transporter down from higher speeds and the tires are wrapped in new 28" all-terrain rubber. The new tires will last for tens of thousands of miles to come and deliver all the premium year-round grip required.
