Stock #5651In the USA, we've been staunch advocates for Lexus' GS platform for decades. For Toyota's Japanese Domestic Market, things were turned up to 11, and models like this 1997 Aristo V300 are great examples of the chassis' performance potential! Set off by full Veilside aero, a Blitz grille, carbon fiber accent trim, and 20" Work SC2 alloys, this JZS161 looks the part, and the fresh Lexus Atomic Silver (1J7) paint seals the deal. Other than a replacement trunk lid installed in Japan, the cosmetics are no worse for the wear and this big body stands out from just about any Lexus on our stateside highways and byways. We also wanted to note the mileage was not able to be verified due to a gauge cluster swap. A true luxury performance icon and a downright good daily driver, we have nothing but good things to say about this Japanese Classic!The interior is in good shape and follows suit with the terrific outside condition. Ours also boasts desirable leather upholstery, factory heated seats, and a full slate of power amenities to make daily use a walk in the park! Both driver and passenger benefit from power-adjustable seats, and the driver can electronically tilt or telescope the steering column to their desires. The dash is free of any unwanted cracks or distortion, and a multi-function display sits within the driver's field of view to keep an eye on any necessary engine vitals. Below, Toyota's electro-multivision system sits centrally with controls for the factory audio and automatic climate control within arms reach. Easy to operate, the driver can swap between cold A/C and hot heat at a moments notice and a prominent power moonroof is on hand if you prefer a more open air experience. All four power windows also work, alongside power locks and electric folding side mirrors. The rear bench is clean and spacious, and the headliner and carpets are in equally good shape. Save for some flaking on the aftermarket steering wheel and some crinkles in the leather, we think the first domestic owner will be quite pleased with the condition!The 2JZ-GTE under the bonnet is a real powerhouse. Ours is also bolstered with a few performance upgrades that make driving this twin turbo I6 a real hoot! First and foremost, it cranks over with haste, thanks to a fresh 12v battery and new alternator that was changed here at the shop. We performed an oil and filter service so this 2J stays well lubricated, and we changed out the valve cover gaskets with new ones so you won't sweat a drop. New spark plugs aid ignition, and this GTE is a riot under full throttle, with a Greddy intake, boost controller, and FGK exhaust handling the performance side of things. A Blitz oil cooler and Greddy intercooler also keep the JZ at bay under high stress and performance driving. Power makes its way to the rear wheels and an aftermarket 1.5 way limited slip differential is on hand to assist through tight backroad twists and turns. New coilovers keep the chassis glued to the pavement, and we replaced the front caster arms and rear steering arms with new ones to keep the handling safety compliant. The 20's are wrapped in fresh rubber, and the steering is easy to maneuver if you pilot this boat about. Upgraded TRD brakes stop on a dime, and we performed a fresh alignment to make sure you get the most out of the new rubber!*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first. CARB certifications will have to be performed within the state. Depending on the vehicle and any existing modifications will affect the pricing. Typically CARB compliance will range between 5-10K.
