A link to view additional corrosion photos on the vehicle can be seen here! For bargain hunters and restoration enthusiasts alike, this Nissan Gloria is the Japanese Classic you've been looking for. Our 1997 Gran Turismo comes equipped with some choice factory and aftermarket upgrades, and is a great blank canvas if you're looking for a VIP build on a budget. Finished in Icelandic Pearl (QT1), the exterior shows nicely overall. Enthusiasts will perk up their ears at the facelift front end, and a NISMO grille adds a touch of factory flair to the exterior. We did want to note a replacement of the hood, headlights, and trunk lid have been exchanged with a Cedric model although there is no accident history on the vehicle. The lower rocker covers are also missing. The paint is in good nick, save for some expected light chips and dings throughout, and most of the exterior corrosion is kept at bay and can only be spotted around the rockers and front strut towers and we did want to note a windshield crack. Aftermarket 17" wheels round off the exterior nicely and are wrapped in good rubber. Better yet, she sports only 78k verified/documented miles on the clock. Fun, frugal, and comfortable for day to day use, this Gloria is a Japanese Classic worth keeping around. The interior is plush, well appointed, and was clearly well cared for by its previous owner. Boasting upgraded Carrozzeria audio with Bluetooth capability and a full slate of premium materials, the cabin is a nice place to be overall. The grey cloth upholstery shows nicely, with no rips, tears, or major stains to note. Even the factory-carpeted floor mats are present, and the headliner is good to boot! The dash houses dual SRS airbags to ensure the utmost safety of your passengers, and the driver additionally benefits from a tilt-adjustable steering column and adjustable lumbar support. Power windows, power locks, and even power-folding mirrors work like a charm for any aspiring daily drivers. A digital automatic climate control unit is nestled in the center stack, allowing you to switch between ice cold A/C and piping hot heat at the twist of a dial. The instrumentation reads clearly and accurately, and overall, we think the cabin is really the saving grace of this chassis and should suit its next owner quite well!Under the bonnet, Nissan's VQ25DE is a great pairing for this touring sedan. For stateside enthusiasts, this 2.5 V6 shares plenty of parts with other USDM Nissans, making this one relatively simple to service as well. The motor cranks over easily, and the battery has plenty of juice left in it. The VQ idles smooth as butter, and after performing a fresh oil and filter service we noticed a light seep from the rear main seal and we recommend the next owner replace it at some point. As an around-town cruiser or highway hauler, this one is well-sorted and has no known operating issues. The automatic transmission operates smoothly overall, although the 1-2 shift can be a bit rough, and no major defects in the drivetrain are present aside from worn inner and outer tie rods on the right front, and some play in the front caster arms. The suspension is still plenty compliant, and the brakes slow the car down though they will be needing a replacement soon. Even the all season tires have plenty of life left, and should grip strong for the road ahead.*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first. CARB certifications will have to be performed within the state. Depending on the vehicle and any existing modifications will affect the pricing. Typically CARB compliance will range between 5-10K.
