Stock #5843
Stock#5843It's safe to say we are shameless traditionalists here at the dealership, and the same can be said about our taste in family haulers. Honda's Accord wagon is one of our favorite all-around platforms to date, as it offers the space, comfort, and amenities for daily driving while avoiding the unnecessary ride height and dinky looks of most modern crossovers. The accord is also one of the best-looking wagons we've seen thus far, and they drive even better. Our 1997 is a fantastic example of this chassis, and sports only 93k miles on the clock. The exterior is finished in pearl white (NH-585P), and wears an aggressive factory OEM optional aero all the way around. Broad, tinted glass panels span the exterior, giving this one an almost space age silhouette. Accented by factory gold badging and a sleek set of 18" Vault Deville alloys, this one has the looks needed to stand out from most plebeian stateside traffic, as well. The Tein Flex Z coilovers remove the fender gap and save for some light chips, scuffs and paint fade, the exterior offers little to complain about overall. Comfortable, capable, stylish and beloved for generations, the Accord wagon is a Japanese Classic for the ages.Contrary to the exterior, the interior is relatively tame, and still offers up the quality and equipment you've come to expect from Honda over the years. The seats are trimmed in a comfortable patterned cloth, and fortunately, the materials have held up quite well save for a few age-related stains on the driver's side, and a couple burn holes on the rear bench. The dash is finished in a complementary grey vinyl, and those passionate about safety will appreciate the inclusion of dual SRS airbags up front as well. The center stack is easy to navigate, serving up OEM Bose audio and a fully functional digital automatic climate control unit within arms reach. There's also a OEM navigation unit, which is more of a paperweight than anything at this point as the screen has seen better days. For those looking to use this Accord year-round, cold A/C works like a charm and the heat is hot to boot! The driver benefits from a tilt-adjustable steering column, and Honda's innovative electric power steering allows you to easily adjust the steering sensitivity from the cockpit. Power windows, power-folding mirrors, and power locks work like a charm to make daily driving a walk in the park as well. The rear bench is spacious, and the seats can be folded down should you need to maximize cargo space in the rear. Overall, it's clear this cabin was cared for in a prior life, and we feel confident the next owner will enjoy it as well. Stateside Honda enthusiasts rejoice, the F23A under the bonnet is the same robust unit found in our USDM accords. This makes parts acquisition and servicing a breeze, and our trained technicians have given this one a thorough once-over to ensure smooth operation for the road ahead. A new 12v battery was installed to help this 2.3L crank over with haste, and to ensure proper output from the alternator. We replaced the engine air filter, and performed a fresh oil and filter service as a bit of a tune up. The F series idles confidently, and accelerates with plenty of "oomph" down low. She sails up to highway speeds with ease, and the automatic gearbox maintains a comfortable cruising RPM no matter what your speed. The suspension is well-sorted for soaking up potholes and bumps around town, and the brakes clamp down with force if needed. Lastly, we've wrapped the period-correct alloys in brand new rubber. Not only do they look good, they'll keep the drive safe for tens of thousands of miles to come!*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
