Nissan did a wonderful job of bringing luxury to the masses. Vehicles like this 1996 Cedric offer refinement, reliability, and ease of service at a very attractive price point. This GranTurismo model is finished in a stately White Pearl (QN0), this rear-drive sedan is set off by OEM rainguards and attractive OEM mesh alloy wheels. Aside from a few light dings, chips, and scuffs the paint is in good shape and this sedan is fresh off a recent service. Boasting a mere 78k verified and documented miles on the ticker, this VQ V6-powered executive saloon is barely broken in. Ideal as a daily driver, weekend cruiser, or clean slate for a VIP build, this Y33 is a certified Japanese Classic!

The cabin is clean, spacious and covered in power equipment. The view of the road ahead is unobscured and the sight lines are great. Dual SRS front airbags add some peace of mind, and the driver benefits from a power seat and adjustable steering column to find the ideal driving position. Nissans Multi-AV TV/Nav/radio dominates the center stack and functions well, supplying tunes to those within the cabin. The automatic digital climate control system can cycle cold A/C and piping hot heat through the interior upon demand. Power windows, door locks, and side mirrors function, making daily use more enjoyable. The cloth upholstery is in above average condition and lacks any major rips, stains or tears. The gray cloth is soft to the touch as well. The headliner, door cards and carpets have all withstood the past 25 years without sustaining major abuse. That's not to say the cabin is perfect as we wanted to note the tachometer needle is missing and the power folding function of the left mirror is inoperable. On the positive side the OEM carpet mats, owners manuals and maintenance records are included in the purchase, and overall, the condition of this Cedric is impressive.

Like any proper luxury sedan, this Cedric is rear-driven, and its long wheelbase smooth VQ30DE is a perfect combination for mowing down some highway miles. The 3.0L is fresh off a recent service and turns over promptly care of a new 12v battery. A new engine air filter and new fuel filter work to maximize power and fuel economy and the silky smooth V6 feels strong as an ox. It's linked to a stout automatic gearbox that feels reassured and shifts smoothly. Acceleration is more than adequate and could be described as a bit peppy. At freeway speeds this chassis is sublime and we have refreshed the suspension with a set of new rear shocks and the rear toe arms were replaced as well. The ride is soft yet predictable and the unflappable platform sorts through road imperfections large and small. The ABS brakes are confident and the power steering is light yet on point. We did install new inner and outer tie rods to shore things up and we also mounted and balanced 4 new Falken tires at each corner. The new rubber not only quiets down the ride but will provide tens of thousands of miles of grip for a long while to come.
