Stock #6067We believe there's a car, truck, and van for everyone here at the dealership, and this 1996 Hilux Surf V6 is a perfect candidate if you're looking for a seamless ownership experience here in America. Backed by the same 3.4 6 pot as our USDM models, this stout Surf has travelled a mere 136k miles over the past couple of decades and has all the Japanese-market features worth bragging about! The Desert Dune Metallic (1A5) finish shows well overall, with only a few dings, chips, and spots of paint fade to note, and the exterior of this SSR-G is accented by OEM rainguards, an OEM optional rear spoiler, and a factory front brushguard. For those in the know, this Surf is a head turner wherever it goes, and is a prime candidate for daily duty or weekend trips to the trails! Easy to service, drive, and even easier to fall in love with, this Hilux Surf is a Japanese Classic through and through.Chock full of features, power amenities, and in above-average condition overall, the third generation Surf has a cabin that can easily be enjoyed by all who occupy it. Upholstered in a durable moon mist cloth, the seating surfaces have held up well over the years and are free of practically any unwanted rips, stains or tears. Additionally, the complementary vinyl on the dash has remained in good nick. Toyota pulled out all the stops when it came to safety with the N185 generation. Dual SRS airbags are nestled in the dash in case of any emergencies. Additionally, ABS brakes are standard and the doors are bolstered with extra crash support internally. A fully-involved Kenwood audio suite includes top-market door speakers, a DVD screen, and the audio quality is well above average overall. Adjacent to the headunit, automatic climate control works as you'd expect and both cold A/C and hot heat are on tap for seasonal climates. Power windows, locks, and power folding mirrors work like a charm, and a convex backup mirror can drop down from the factory spoiler to assist in parking and reversing. A factory field monitor is also operational and displays real-time weather conditions for any aspiring overlanders. The rear bench is versatile, providing your rearmost passengers with a reclining backrest for additional comfort, or a flat folding layout to prioritize cargo space. The headliner and carpets are in good nick, and save for some light staining and wear to the touch points, there's little to turn your nose up at in this cabin. We even retained the factory air purifier atop the headliner! The 5VZ-FE under the bonnet has built up a reputable following over the years stateside and feels right at home tucked away in this Surf. In the spirit of delivering a safe, turn-key ready truck, our trained technicians have serviced this one in house and this V6 runs like a top! A new 12v battery was installed to aid ignition, and the engine air filter and fuel filter were replaced for a bit of a preemptive tune-up. We took care of a pesky valve cover gasket job and a fresh oil and filter service was performed to ensure you're topped up on lubricant. This Surf tolls around US highways and byways without breaking a sweat and the automatic transmission is as stout as ever. Linked to a selective transfercase, 4WD can be engaged and if a beach excursion is in the cards a center locking differential can be deployed to trudge you out of the sand. The suspension feels plenty composed over larger road imperfections and we replaced the tired old front pads and rotors with new units. Freshly refinished factory alloys on all four corners look the part, and are wrapped in a juicy set of new Falken all-terrains. Not only does the wheel and tire setup look stellar, it should deliver tens of thousands of miles of unencumbered grip to come!*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
