Exterior Overview
A rear drive coupe with a manual gearbox is a driver’s dream, and this R33 has a heart of gold, too. A legendary turbo six powers this Nissan, and with only 63k verified and documented miles on the clock, this recently serviced RB is barely broken in. Finished in a classic Cloud White (QM1), the curvaceous and classic proportions are set off by an OEM GT-R spoiler, optional factory front lip, OEM side skirts, OEM rear spats, OEM rainguards, and Enkei TS10 alloys. Aside from a few light dings, chips, and scrapes, the paint is in good shape, and this GTS25t would make for a competent daily driver, fun weekend cruiser, or road racing rockstar. Unmolested examples like this one are getting harder to find by the day, and this collectible, reliable, and rewarding to drive Japanese Classic is ripe for the picking!
Interior Overview
The cabin is surprisingly spacious, and we have sold these to folks exceeding seven feet tall. The swept dashboard looks modern and lacks any cracking or fading. Dual SRS airbags are standard, and the driver can find the ideal driving position courtesy of a tilt-adjustable steering column. Additionally, an adjustable hip bolster keeps the pilot from sloshing about in the twisties. To make daily use more enjoyable, power locks, power mirrors and power windows all work in typical Nissan fashion. The digital climate control works like a charm, and the heat and A/C can be mixed through the cabin year-round. The OEM audio below sounds decent, and the LCD screen is easy to read. The gray cloth seats lack any major rips, stains, or tears, and the headliner, carpets, and door cards have resisted major abuse over the years. Aside from a non-functional fuel gauge, it’s tough to complain about the cabin. It even includes the owner’s manuals for the new American owner to enjoy.
Mechanical Overview
Under the skin, this sports car is as beautiful as the outside. The 50/50 weight distribution is ideal for handling, and the RB25DET throws you back in your seat with the best of them. Fresh off an oil and filter service, the 2.5L churns to life with the twist of the key, thanks to a new 12v battery. A new fuel filter keeps unwanted contaminants out of the engine, and a new fuel pump keeps the turbo RB from running lean. The accessories are all powered with new accessory belts, too. Power is fed through a five-speed manual to the rear wheels. Gearshifts lack any hitches or grinds, and the unit is communicative. It gets up to merging speeds in an instant and slows down just as well, with large disc brakes on all four corners. New adjustable coilovers keep the R33 planted in the curves, and the power steering is direct and on point. Grip is handled by four new Nexen tires. Mounted and balanced at each corner, they reduce road noise and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come. Exhilarating to drive, this would make for a fun daily driver, cool weekend cruiser, or track day all-star!
