With the increased desirability of the R33 platform and demand continually exceeding supply, it’s clear to us that this previously overlooked powerhouse has found its home with enthusiasts here stateside. Initially, this black sheep never got the credit it deserved, coming in between the esteemed R32 and the world-renowned R34. Fast forward to 2022 and Skylines like this GTS25-t have become beloved by the drifting community, tuners, and collectors alike. This 1996 Type M is finished in Nissan's fantastic Sonic Silver (KR4) and is offered with only 136k verified and documented miles. The body is in excellent shape aside from a few minor dings and scratches associated with normal use and prior repairs in Japan include the hood and right front fender. The factory Type M aero was ditched by the previous owner and replaced with an aggressive 400r style front bumper and aftermarket FRP side skirts and rear bumper. A vented carbon fiber hood, Advan AVS alloys, and factory midrise rear spoiler are a great combo, providing a simple yet aggressive look. Fresh off a recent service, this Skyline is turn-key and ready for daily use, a few weekend drift events, or even a little spirited backroad driving. For the enthusiast who values performance, styling, and collectability, this Japanese Classic is sure to tick all the boxes and won't last long!

The interior is in excellent condition, and like the exterior, sports a few tasteful upgrades to enhance the driving experience. The factory headunit has been upgraded to a Carrozzeria model which still functions properly, supplying clear and crisp sound throughout the cabin. The digital automatic climate control provides a clear and intuitive interface, with cold A/C and hot heat on demand. The driver benefits from power windows, power locks, power mirrors, and a rare fully functioning moonroof. These all work as advertised other than the power-folding function of the side mirrors. The dash is in great shape and lacks any major UV damage or cracks. Adding peace of mind for the driver, Nissan equipped the Series 2 with dual front SRS airbags along with a tilt steering column to allow for the perfect driving position. The troublesome R33 trim coating is in remarkably good condition resisting any major wear over the years. A carbon Nismo shift knob rounds out the interior modifications and looks right at home. The door panels are in nice shape as well and lack any major cuts or tears, and the fabric inserts are in great condition along with the headliner and carpets. The seats are comfortable and are lacking any notable stains or bolster wear. It’s clear to us this Skyline has been well cared for over the years and it even retains the original factory owner's manual which can be found inside the glove box.

The R33 may be one of the most composed and predictable platforms Nissan has ever built. With its stiffened chassis and excellent power-to-weight ratio, this superb Skyline is truly a blast to drive. The handling is spectacular, but the star of the show is clearly this iconic Nissan's powerplant. This RB25DET makes gobs of power down low and pulls hard to redline. Fresh off an oil and filter service in-house, this RB turns over promptly with the twist of the key, thanks to a new 12V battery. New accessory belts ensure the new battery stays fully charged, and helps the straight-six maintain a vibration free idle. Power is sent to the rear wheels through the factory five-speed manual gearbox. Acceleration is impressive, and the HKS Super Drager exhaust, Blitz Sonic power intake, and Blitz BOV deliver all the wonderful sounds you would expect from an RB. Adjustable coilovers lower the ride height and, thanks to a pair of front and rear strut tower braces, the Skyline stays firm and flat through the corners. The brakes are confident, and the steering is power-assisted and precise. Lastly, we installed four new all-season tires at all four corners. The new rubber has quieted down the road noise quite a bit, but most importantly will deliver tens of thousands of miles of grip for years to come.
