The JZX100 platform is highly sought after by enthusiasts thanks to its timeless styling, reliability, and heaps of aftermarket support. This tastefully modified 1996 Toyota Mark II Tour V is offered with a mere 54k verified and documented miles and features the well-known 1JZ-GTE. Its balanced rear-drive layout is complimented by a full slate of amenities that make daily use quite enjoyable. Finished in stunning White Pearl Mica (057) over Flaxen Mica Metallic (4M7) this Mark II is set off by a set of OEM Toyota rainguards, full factory aero, and Work Euroline wheels. The paint is in good condition aside from a few light scratches, dings, and scuffs, associated with regular use, the worst of which is some light chipping on the front mirror bases. This turn-key example was well taken care of in its prior life in Japan and is fresh off a recent service here stateside. Whether you’re looking for a dependable daily driver, or a family weekend cruiser this JZX100 will not disappoint and is a true Japanese Classic.

Inside the spacious cabin, which can comfortably seat five, the black and gray cloth seats are plush and still soft to the touch, lacking major rips, stains, or wear. The headliner and carpets also show extremely well with no major stains or peeling. The driver benefits from power windows, power locks, and power-folding mirrors which all still function as they should. Adding peace of mind for the driver, Toyota equipped the Mark II with dual front SRS airbags along with a tilt and telescoping steering column to allow for the perfect driving position. Impressively it even has dual side SRS airbags as well. If safety is important to you the airbags alone add some peace of mind and for enhanced visibility at night this sedan includes the factory OEM HID headlamps. The trunk is complete and retains its factory carpeted interior and full-size spare. This is not to say the interior is perfect, the dash does show minor lifting around the defrost vents, the carbon dash trim was cracked while removing the factory head unit, the door cards do have some scuffs and a small tear can be found on the driver’s door panel. On the other hand, the digital auto climate control is fully functional supplying heat on demand, and the A/C blows cold after a recharge. For a 25-year-old classic this interior has held up well and even retains its factory owners' manual, maintenance records, and OEM carpeted floor mats.

Under the hood sits the legendary 1JZ-GTE delivering a healthy 280hp to the rear wheels through a smooth-shifting automatic gearbox. Known for its reliability this 2.5L inline-six is fresh off a recent oil and filter service and jumps to life with the turn of the key, thanks to a new 12v battery. Our trained technician's installed new valve cover gaskets, new cam seals, and resealed the oil pan ensuring the JZ stays topped up on oil. Additionally, the VVTI system was also overhauled and a brand-new timing belt was installed. Acceleration is impressive and sustained highway driving is comfortable with no unwanted drone from the aftermarket cat back exhaust system. The factory suspension delivers an untroubled ride and gobbles up potholes without hesitation. While cornering you will notice very little body roll, and with the addition of four new Falken tires, the car stays firmly planted to the road with little to no cabin noise. The power-assisted steering is light, and the brake pedal feels firm and responsive making back road and city driving very pleasing. Don't miss this great example of one of the best sports sedans Japan has ever built!
