Stock #5885The Land Cruiser represents reliability, capability, and practicality. This 1996 is a wonderful rig, with its Olive Green (l79) paint, rear privacy tint, aftermarket tail lamps, and refinished factory alloy wheels subtly differentiating it from the crowd. Aside from a few light dings and chips the paint is in good nick and this recently serviced rig boasts a mere 121k verified and documented miles. Powered by a smooth inline six, this Land Cruiser boasts top-tier ease of service, a massive cabin, and legendary reliability. Great for explorers, families who love to get away, or as an all-weather daily driver, this 80 Series is tough to beat. Collectible, cool, and designed to stand the test of time, this Japanese Classic is the real deal. The cabin is about as large as anything we import, and this one is in great shape, too. The redesigned dashboard lacks any cracking or fading and the driver benefits from a tilt adjustable steering column and an SRS airbag for some added peace of mind. Power windows, power door locks, and power mirrors make daily use more enjoyable and work properly, aside from the power folding function on the side mirrors. If you want an additional breeze an OEM sunroof can be tilted up to ventilate and also retracts back fully. If it's too hot outside, cold dual-zone A/C can be piped into the cabin at a moment's notice. If a long road trip is planned factory cruise control can be engaged, and all of the seats are comfortable and well bolstered. The tan and cognac-colored alcanatara lacks any major rips, stains, or tears, and is soft to the touch. The same material is mirrored in the door cards and is in equally good nick. The middle row can be slip-folded and folded flat to accommodate more cargo, too. The headliner has withstood the past 25 years without sustaining major abuse. That's not to say the cabin is perfect as we wanted to note some light carpet sitting and that the headunit is in need of replacement, which you'd likely want something more modern anyway. On the positive side of things, the cabin is in impressive shape compared to American versions and even the Japanese owners manual is included with the purchase of this Toyota.Under the skin, this body-on-frame truck is the opposite of its cushy, refined cabin. Built to take a licking and keep on ticking, these Cruisers regularly log half a million miles on this stout drivetrain. The heart of the beast is a smooth 4.5L 1FZ-FE engine, which has an enhanced sound thanks to a free flowing Flex Style exhaust. Fresh off an oil and filter service, the six-cylinder churns to life, care of a new 12v battery. One of our trained techs replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, and engine air filter to keep everything running tip-top. We didn't stop there and the factory ECU was professionally rebuilt and includes a transferrable lifetime warranty. To complete the driveline refresh, we replaced a torn intake boot and fixed the leaking oil pump seal so the 4.5L would stay topped up on oil. The 1FZ is linked to a smooth shifting automatic and a FullTime 4WD system. For those who are planning a beach trip, they can rest assured knowing a locking center differential and low range can be engaged quickly inside the cabin. Around town, the power steering is light and easy to articulate for parking purposes. The suspension insulates nicely from large and small potholes alike and the brakes feel capable when called upon. New 35" Falkens have been mounted and balanced at all four corners and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come and match the tough guy aesthetic. *California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
