The Honda Civic is one of the most iconic designs of the 1990s. They offer near bulletproof reliability, top-notch ergonomics and a vast aftermarket chocked full of upgrades. This 1996 hatch has been refinished in Championship White, one of the most desirable hues of all. The body is in good shape, with few blemishes to note, and is accessorized with an OEM parking pole and rain visors. Recently serviced, this EK is barely broken in and is offered with a mere 59k verified and documented miles. Reliable, peppy, and highly collectible, this little Honda is practical and safe too! For those who want a unique and trusty runabout, this manual transmission-equipped EK is surely the right Japanese Classic.

Despite the meager exterior dimensions, the cabin is fairly large. The view of the road ahead is clear and unobstructed and the little Civic actually features dual front SRS airbags. The dash is in good nick and lacks any cracks or distortion. A simple to use automatic climate control system is centrally mounted and easy to use. The system blows cold A/C at the moment and the heat is piping hot. The audio system works too but the LCD screen is broken, sadly. Electric locks, mirrors, and windows are all standard and work well. Even the parking pole is powered and can be raised up from within the cockpit with the press of a button. The carpet and headliner look decent and even the owner's manuals are still in the glovebox! The seats look almost mint and are soft to the touch. The gray upholstery is accented with some colored inserts and the seats are supportive and comfortable on long trips.

Under the hood is where the good stuff is! The D13B four-cylinder powers this little Ek and the engine is fresh off an oil and filter service. A new 12v battery aids ignition and will last the next owners for a few more years! The four-banger idles confidently and is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The five-speed shifts properly and rowing through the gears is a blast. Power is fed through the front wheels and this Civic is more than happy to go to work in less than ideal weather situations. The acceleration isn't going to win you any drag races but is plenty enough to get you up to safe merging speeds. The steering is direct and the brakes stop this lightweight without breaking a sweat. The suspension is predictable and up to handle the rigors of daily use. The wheels are all wrapped in new tires at all four corners. They will deliver tens of thousands of miles of year-round grip and quiet down the cabin noise a touch, too.
