When it comes to Gran Touring coupes the Toyota Soarer likely isn't the first car that comes to mind. Cars like the 300ZX or even the Ferrari 456 are likely some of the more natural thoughts. However, the Soarer is nothing short of an excellent choice when it comes to this genre of cars and for good reason. Powered by a front engine straight six twin turbo engine and a chassis shared with the Supra with power being sent to the rear wheels this comfortable and downright luxurious sports coupe checks all of the right boxes. In particular, this 1995 2.5GT-T one owner example has just 43k verified and documented miles and boasts some excellent modifications. The exterior is finished in Toyota Black (202) and shows very well. While we do believe the entire exterior has been resprayed, it is the original color and shows only minor imperfections, chips, and scratches. Dressing up the exterior is a modified Vertex front bumper, side skirts, and rear bumper. While fitment is not quite OEM, it does fit well for aftermarket parts, something Japanese manufacturers are known for. The only other modification to the exterior are a nice set of 17" Advan Model 5 wheels finished in bronze which looks great against the black exterior.

Waiting inside the cabin is a desirable and rare OEM black interior, all of which is in above average condition for a Soarer. The seats are all in great condition with no rips or major stains and very little wear on the bolsters, which you would expect for the milage. The door panels are also in good condition but the drivers side does have some light staining near the bottom and both the driver's and passenger side door panels suffer from the typical Soarer minor split at the seam of the door panel. The automatic climate control functions properly and blows both cold A/C and hot heat on command. We did want to note that the LCD display does suffer from the typical screen bleeding which makes the display difficult to read. The aftermarket Alpine headunit is functional and speakers all seem to work as well. The A/C vents do show some cracking from age and the headliner also has a small tear in the very center, but is otherwise extremely clean. The dash and A-pillar host a full lineup of Greddy gauges, but the water temp gauge doesn't work any longer. Finally, an HKS F-CON V piggyback and HKS EVC boost controller sit below the radio and function properly.

Powering this luxurious GT car is the famed twin turbo 1JZ-GTE. Producing plenty of power in stock form, this example has some great high quality performance upgrades for even more oomph and even better sound! You can't miss the huge Greddy front mount intercooler peeking through the enlarged Vertex bumper opening. An HKS intake with hard pipes along with a Blitz Nur Spec exhaust system works together to not only make more power but let the 1JZ sing under throttle. A set of HKS coilovers help get the ride height more proper and also make the chassis handle better, however are older and may need a replacement set soon. Finally, a Greddy oil cooler helps keep oil temps down even under spirited driving. Shifts are provided through the factory automatic gearbox and are smooth, without any issues. Our trained technicians have also performed the following maintenance: a fresh engine oil and filter change, a new battery, 4 new tires, new engine air filter, new alternator, new spark plugs, and replaced an exhaust gasket. This Soarer is ready to show you why it's an underrated, yet fully capable GT contender!
