The Hilux Surf offers one of the best ownership experiences that a JDM import can offer. Toyota's body-on-frame vehicles have a reputation for longevity, and this 1995 features one of Toyota's best diesel powerplants ever! Finished in Dark Blue Pearl (8E3), the body is in good shape other than the minor dings, chips, and scuffs associated with routine use. Offered with only 148K verified miles, this 4x4 hauler will take you anywhere on or off the beaten path!

The cabin is simple, lacking all of the clutter of current vehicles like massive touchscreens and thousand button center consoles. Powered options are surprisingly plentiful, like the retracting sunroof which is a great feature to enjoy this time of year. Electric windows, locks, and mirrors are also included as is a manually tilting steering wheel. The headliner and door cards are in good shape and the carpets have been well preserved. The gray cloth seats are soft to the touch, and the Hilux has a total seating capacity of five. Comfy on long cruises, the largest imperfection is a driver's side front bolster tear, but no other holes or stains are to be noted. A Sony head unit sits below the functional auto climate control system and is sandwiched next to a couple of cupholders. It works properly however some of the speakers will require replacement at this time, so the system isn't the loudest. The A/C has received a full recharge and blows cold at the moment. If you prefer more natural ventilation, the rear window powers down into the tailgate as well!

Under the skin, this Hilux Surf really shines. Nestled far back in the engine compartment, Toyota's venerable 1KZ-TE is nestled. Benefiting from a fresh oil and filter service, the 3.0L turbodiesel turns over with a twist of the key. She sounds great, and the four-banger sends power through a selective transfer case to the rear wheels, or all four, depending on the situation. The automatic transmission shifts as is should and the midsize- SUV gets up to and above highways speeds with ease. The brakes are confident and the cutting-edge TEMS adjustable suspension offers dampening adjustments on the fly. The factory alloy wheels are all sporting freshly mounted Falken Rubitek all-terrain rubber that can grapple with the all the snow, sleet, and sand you want to throw at them. While they aren't as quiet as the stock tires, they do look great and give the car a little more off-road credo.

This diesel Hilux is a real gem. It drives well and is more than capable when the weather isn't ideal. Durable, rugged, and fun this Toyota truck deserves to go to a home that's gonna put her through her paces, and appreciate the rig for what she is!
