This 1995 HiAce is such a neat runabout. It gets more looks than most JDM imports that retail for twice its price and best of all, is bolstered by hallmark Toyota reliability. Propelled by a durable and gutty turbodiesel drivetrain, our Super Custom model is offered with a mere 105k verified and documented miles, and is fresh off a recent service. Finished in a new coat of one-off Alpine white, this van is adorned with OEM rainguards, lightweight 15" alloys, and a retro-themed set of decals. Aside from some light imperfections, the body is in good shape overall, but the interior steals the show. The spacious and luxurious cabin includes a functional electric moonroof suite, flexible seating options for all, and is in above-average condition. Efficient, powerful, and practical, this eight-seater would make for a wonderful family hauler, camping vehicle, or daily driver. Affordable, unique, and stylish, the useful little Toyota is a certified Japanese Classic, through and through!

The cabin is about as nice as any HiAce we have ever seen. It was obviously cared for in a prior life as evidenced by its condition. The owner's manuals, maintenance booklet, and OEM carpet mats are all on hand and included in the sale. The view of the road ahead is clear and commanding and the cabover design delivers incredible forward visibility. The driver benefits from a tilt-adjustable steering column and OEM SRS airbag equipped steering wheel. The controls for the electric windows, doors, locks, and mirrors are all close by and work properly, aside from the power-folding function of the side mirrors. These items make daily use enjoyable and the same can be said for the dual-zone automatic climate control which blows cold A/C. For those who prefer natural ventilation, you have three sunroofs that can open up and side glass that pops out for better overall airflow. The front sunroof is manual and the rear two are powered. The central sunroof nearly covers the entire roof and retracts for a full view of the heavens above. This is ideal for those who want to camp overnight and the rear seats fold nearly flat into a pseudo mattress. The middle and rear rows slide fore and aft and the middle row even swivels 180 degrees for an impromptu card game should you want to have some fun. The upholstery is soft to the touch and is the color of cognac. It lacks any major rips stains or tears and is comfortable on longer hauls. The door cards, carpets, and headliner have also resisted major abuse over the years and look to be in good condition. That's not to say this cabin is perfect as we do want to mention the head unit needs a replacement. With that noted it's hard to nitpick otherwise. There are no odors to complain about either, and very few squeaks and rattles when going over rough pavement. We think that if this cabin doesn't make you happy, it's going to be hard to find a van that will!

It's appropriate to call the 1KZ-TE the heart of this beast. Like a heart, it's mounted centrally, between the front and rear axles and boasts a low center of gravity. The engine is one hell of a powerplant and has a reputation for creating tons of torque and being easy to service. This one is fresh off an oil and filter service and starts up with the twist of the key thanks to a new 12v battery. It idles with confidence and stays topped up on oil thanks to a new valve cover gasket. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a slick-shifting automatic. It accelerates impressively, and is downright quick for a van. Undoubtedly the lighter curb weight and lack of a bulky 4WD system aids performance. It also aids fuel economy as well, and as long as you keep the speed down you can get some pretty decent MPGs. The suspension gobbles up road imperfections confidently and one of our trained techs has replaced the sway bar bushings to give it a light refresh. The brakes stop this 4800 LB hauler down nicely but we did want to mention that the ABS doesn't function. The steering is light and on point and allows for easy articulation and stress-free parking. Lastly, a set of four new tires were mounted and balanced. The new rubber quiets down the ride even more and most importantly will last for tens of thousands of miles to come.
