The Toyota Chaser is the perfect choice for a practical performance-oriented sedan. In stock form flies largely under the radar. As you've likely noticed from our photo spread this 1995 example is far from stock and certainly turns heads. You'll immediately notice the huge Greddy front mount intercooler tucked behind the factory bumper which has been modified to accommodate the FMIC. Additionally, it has an aftermarket FRP front lip, adding an aggressive look to the front end. FRP side skirts flow great with the front lip and an FRP rear bumper completes the more sporty aesthetic. Originally this Chaser left the factory dressed in Dark Green Mica (6N2), however, the previous owner in Japan had the car fully resprayed to a Dark Merlot which looks excellent on this performance sedan. The paint has a very subtle metallic flake that really sets it off in the sunlight. Overall the paint is in good shape with minimal blemishes. The body has been kept up well with no notable dents or dings. Notable previous repairs in Japan include a new right front door, right rear quarter panel, and new trunk lid. Being FRP the front lip, side skirts, and rear bumper mate up cleanly, as do the rest of the body panels. To cut down on wheel gap and body roll, a set of coilovers were added. Our Chaser has been fitted with a set of OEM R33 GTR wheels too, which really do suit it perfectly!

The interior has some similar upgrades to keep up with the spicy exterior styling. The seats remain stock and are in great condition. The grey cloth is still soft to the touch and comfortable on road trips. There is some minor bolster wear on the driver's seat, but all major holes, rips or tears. A red-stitched Nardi steering wheel replaces the stock one and feels great in the one's hands. An Apex'i AVCR sits atop the steering column and is functional, however, we have disconnected it for safety and it can easily be reconnected. A TRD gauge cluster was swapped in by the previous owner and while it is very cool, this vehicle is being sold with unknown/not actual miles due to this. Additional gauges sit atop the dash and look great, however, the oil pressure and oil temp gauges are not currently functional. Lastly, an Alpine head unit replaces the stock double din and fits the era of the car well. Otherwise, the interior has been kept original and in generally good shape. The headliner is nice with no major staining or sagging but we did want to note that the sunroof is no longer functional. The door panels do show some minor signs of wear that can be seen in the pictures but again are in good shape for their age. All four power windows work properly along with the power mirrors which include an electric folding function. The automatic climate control is functional, however, the A/C is not currently blowing cold, although all of the components are there.

Because all show and no go is lame, some fantastic engine upgrades have been added to the 1JZ-GTE that powers this Chaser. Obviously, the Greddy front mount intercooler is easy to see through the front bumper. Once the hood is popped you'll find a full Blitz K27 turbo kit which includes the manifold, turbo, external wastegate, and downpipe. An aftermarket aluminum radiator was also added to keep the engine cool and a free-flowing Blitz intake provides fresh air to the massive turbo. To round things out a one-off catback exhaust with blast pipes was fashioned, which gives a nice deep tone at idle and absolutely screams. The 1JZ-GTE fires right up and sounds awesome. The turbo spools up quickly and pulls hard to redline. Suspension is handled with a set of aftermarket coilovers which are firm but improve handling dramatically. Upon arrival at our facility, we had the turbo sent off and fully rebuilt, which adds some peace of mind for the next lucky owner. The R154 5-speed manual transmission is in great condition and shifts well. Originally an automatic, this Chaser was swapped to a manual in Japan using all OEM parts and was done very well. Additional maintenance performed by our trained technicians includes a fresh oil and filter change, 4 brand new tires, a new front right wheel bearing, and a new right rear brake caliper. Making this Chaser ready for the new owner to drive home today! Between the 4 door practicality, gobs of power, and aggressive looks; how could you go wrong with a Chaser?*
