When it comes to Japanese luxury sedans of the '80s and '90s, the Toyota Celsior is one of the most classic and enduring designs we can think of. It is easy to see why when you consider the heaps of equipment, nearly bulletproof driveline, and its low running costs. This 1995 Toyota Celsior is finished in a breathtaking Diamond White Pearl over gray two-tone (051) and sits perfectly on a set of 19" Work Schwert wheels with new Fortune Auto coilovers. The body is in good shape aside from some minimal blemishes such as a few rock chips and some minor dings of note. Add in the privacy tint and clear corner lenses and you have yourself one striking saloon. With only a mere 51K verified and documented miles on the chassis, this Celsior is barely broken in and is a wonderful running example of the second generation platform.

The Celsior interior is spacious and comfy, to say the least. Toyota outfitted the cabin with tons of amenities to ensure the occupants are comfortable aboard this land yacht. The driver benefits from electric telescoping/tilt steering column, cruise control, and power lumbar support. The seat is also spring-loaded to ensure the ride is comfortable for long trips or short commutes. Both the driver and passenger sides benefit from power-adjustable seats, electric seat belt adjusters, and an electric steering column so that the driver is more than comfortable. The view of the road ahead is clean and unobstructed and the dash lacks any major cracking or distortion, and dual SRS airbags are standard. The tan cloth seats complement the exterior nicely and are supportive on long trips. There are no signs of rips or tears in the seats or the door cards, and the headliner is in good nick. The optional air purifier is fully operable with multiple fan speeds to suit the occupant's preferences. The OEM radio still delivers decent sound quality but the screen is no longer working. The climate control system can still be utilized as well, even with the screen damage. The system blows cold A/C, and the heat is just right to keep you warm for the upcoming winter. A power sunroof tilts and retracts back to allow fresh air in, as well as some added sunshine for everyone to enjoy. The power windows, mirrors, locks, and power-folding mirror feature are all working as expected and make the daily commute comfy. Overall this thing has been well cared for in a prior life and is ready to start its next chapter.

The engine that powers this sedan is the 1UZ-FE V8, displacing 4.0L. With plenty of torque and power on hand, it's suited well for this heavyweight sedan. It was reworked for this generation to be lighter and more powerful, which isn't a bad thing. This eight-cylinder starts up promptly thanks to a new 12v battery and is fresh off an oil and filter service. It operates with little to no vibration and is deadly silent. The ECU was rebuilt which is a common problem found in Toyota's but it does include a lifetime warranty from the vendor. Luckily we did offer this engine in stateside Lexus models so maintenance and parts are easily obtainable and fairly cheap. Mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission, shifts are seamless and the Celsior smoothly glides up to freeway speeds without breaking a sweat. The factory air suspension was swapped out with a set of Fortune 500 coilovers which set this thing off. Sure the ride quality is firm, but then again, this Celsior is sitting in the weeds and about as low as they get! The front lower ball joints were replaced here at our facility and even the engine and transmission received a riser kit since the vehicle is lowered. The brakes on this land yacht are responsive and easily slow this sedan down to a stop when you need it. This VIP-inspired Celsior is a great option for a daily commuter that is high on style!
