The R33 generation Skyline was a fresh slate redesign from the iconic R32. Examples like this 1995 GTS25t boasts uptick performance thanks to an additional half-liter of displacement on its turbo six powerplant compared to the prior model. As a whole, Nissan implemented better quality interior materials and a more rigid platform to make some positive improvements to ride quality. Offered with a mere 58K verified miles, this rear-drive, manual Type-M is in good shape overall. Other than a few minor dings and scuffs, the Spark Silver Metallic (KL0) paint is in good shape and the body is straight. Full of standard power features, this Skyline performs incredibly well during a spirited drive and would make a splendid candidate for a daily driver.

The cabin is larger than the R32 and uses better quality materials. That's not to say that this one is perfect, as the head unit is no longer powered and there is a blemish in the center of the dash. Still, at 25 years of age, it's held up well. Power windows, locks, and mirrors all work and the R33 includes a digital climate system. If you like natural ventilation OEM rain guards allow for more refined windows-down cruising. The seats are quite comfortable on long drives and upholstered in gray cloth. They lack any major imperfections such as rips, holes, or tears. The carpets and door cards are in good shape and the headliner is tightly upholstered to the roof. An adjustable steering column allows for all sizes of drivers to get comfortable and the R33 accommodates tall drivers with ease.

Under the long, curved hood rests a zingy RB25DET. The uptick in torque is noticeable over the 2.0L it replaces, however, the 2.5 is just a smooth as its predecessor. Fresh off an oil and filter service the RB fires up quickly with the twist of a key. The engine breathes a little better thanks to a new engine air filter and sounds good to boot. Most importantly we are installing a new timing belt and water pump in our shop. This will save the next owner on the single most expensive maintenance item and reduces the likelihood of an expensive engine repair thanks to a snapped belt. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox. The transmission shifts properly, lacking any hitches or grinds. Acceleration is brisk, and in-stock form is more than enough. Interstate driving isn't stressful as the manual is properly geared for US highways. The handling has been improved thanks to a set of new rear struts installed by our trained technicians. The grip is at a premium as the stock alloys have been fitted with new all-season rubber. They will last for years to come and maximize traction and braking performance.
