The powerful, rear-drive sedan segment has been revived in recent years here in the USA. In Japan, they never stopped making them, and the R33 sedan is one hell of a good example of a proper sports sedan. Finished in a classic Dark Gray Pearl (KN6), and offered with only 41K verified miles, the body is in good shape other than some minor dings and light scuffs associated with normal use. Featuring a torquey 2.5L turbocharged six-cylinder sending all the power rearward, this unmolested four-door is a wonderful example of what a Skyline should be!

The interior of the R33 is considerably better than the car it replaced. Unlike most R32's the dash is in good shape, devoid of any cracks or discoloration. Digital climate control is standard, as are power windows, locks, and mirrors which work as the should. The gray cloth seats are in good condition and have no major rips, stains, or tears. They are still soft to the touch and are bolstered for top-notch comfort on long cruises. If you had to nitpick you could point out some light sun fading on the cloth, light scuff on the interior plastics, and some accelerated leather wear on the steering wheel and e-brake boot. Once again the car is twenty-five years old, so that type of stuff is largely expected but we do like to point it out. The OEM mats were used to protect the carpets underneath and they are included in the sale as well. The audio system is all stock but still demonstrates decent clarity.

Think of this sedan as a wolf in sheep's clothing. The low key styling, 4 doors, and OEM alloy wheels might give the impression that this is some regular commuter car. However, if you depress the accelerator to the floor, you'll soon find out that this assumption would be wrong. This Type M was originally spec'd with this wonderful RB25DET, and mated to an automatic transmission, its a delight to drive. Thanks to a new 12V battery, the RB fires up immediately upon command. A new air filter ensures optimal breathing, power, and fuel economy. Additionally, a semi-synthetic oil service has been performed so that the next owner needn't worry about scheduled maintenance for the next three thousand miles. As mentioned acceleration is brisk, and the R33 easily gets up to and above freeway speeds. The trans shifts smooth and is ideal for commuting if that's the plan. The suspension does a nice job of sorting out all the large and small road imperfections we see here stateside. Our trained technicians have freshened the handling by installing two new rear struts to improve overall ride quality. The long wheelbase of this model is best on the highway, and there are little pitch and roll to speak of. The brakes feel assured and the steering is properly weighted and decently communicative. Grip comes from four new all-season tires mounted and balanced at all four corners.
