The Y33 Nissan's are splendid driving cars and among the best values of any executive class JDM import. This Cloud White (QN0) 1995 Cedric is offered with a mere 47k verified and documented miles. The OEM optional front bumper, side skirts, rear spats and spoiler sharpen the already premium styling and add to this model's exterior appeal. Aside from some areas of touchup and a few dings, chips, and scuffs associated with normal use, the body is in good shape for a 1995. Packing a silky smooth V6, rear-drive and tons of space and amenities throughout the cabin, it's hard to deny this is a Japanese Classic. Recently serviced and legally imported, this turnkey five-seater would make for a unique daily driver, weekend cruiser or stylish VIP sedan!
The cabin is clean and has plenty of space for five adults. The view of the road ahead is clear and commanding and the dashboard is in wonderful shape. Dual SRS airbags are on standby and standard equipment which should add some peace of mind when behind the wheel. The driver benefits from a tilt-adjustable steering column, electric windows, door locks, and power-folding mirrors. These items all work like a charm, which makes daily use enjoyable. The same can be said for the automatic digital climate control, which blows cold A/C, and the OEM audio that pipes tunes through the cabin. The door cards, headliner, and carpets all are in above average shape and it's clear this car was cared for in a previous life overseas. As it relates to the interior, we saved the best for last! OEM lace seat covers are still in place to protect the soft gray upholstery. They go for hundreds on their own online, and are included in the sale. The seats lack any major rips, stains, or tears and are comfortable and supportive on longer drives. It's really hard to nitpick this Cedric and the next owners will surely appreciate the condition it's in. It even includes the OEM carpet mats from Japan!
As a true luxury sled, the traditional rear-drive layout was chosen by Nissan instead of a cheaper, FWD platform. New for the model was a slate of modern, aluminum V6 engines. Fresh off an oil and filter service, the VQ30DE springs to life with a new 12v battery installed by our shop. The engine runs with little to no vibration and the experience within the cabin is serene. A buttery smooth automatic gearbox. The midsize saloon easily gets up to highway merge speeds without breaking a sweat. The steering is light and power-assisted and goes right where you point it. The suspension was also refreshed a tad while up on the lift. One of our trained techs has installed new front tension arms and inner and outer tie rods with new bellow boots. We also threw on some new front brake pads and the Cedric stops impressively for such a heavyweight. Lastly, we installed new Falken all-season tires at all four corners. The rubber reduces road noise and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come and we had an alignment performed to boot!
