Mistubishi builds one heck of a diesel rig, and this 1995 Pajero oozes some serious machismo. Powered by the most desirable diesel engine available, this seven-seat hauler is offered with a mere 81K verified miles. Finished in a Silver over Navy Blue two-tone (S5GD,) the body is in good shape other than some minor dings and scuffs associated with normal use. These efficient, gutty 4x4s make fantastic year-round rides that are dependable, spacious, and reliable. What's not to like?

The cabin of this Mitsu is in good shape overall and all original. Even down to the original owner's manual and OEM rain guards, it's clear this car was cared for overseas. The dash, for instance, is lacking any major imperfections such as cracks or distortion, which is common in comparable Toyotas. The nice part about owning a '95 is that the manufacturer replaces the old climate control system with a more modern digital display. Sporting dual-zone climate controls the A/C is currently functional as well. The driver benefits from a tilt wheel, power locks, and windows. OEM audio is still working well and the speaker clarify is surprising for a car of this age. The seats are the high point of the interior trimmed in soft tan cloth. Lacking any major rips, stains, or tears they are comfortable on long hauls and have tons of flexible seating layouts that can be utilized depending on your cargo needs. Rarely found in trucks of this era, the third row is still present and in good shape. They can be used in a pinch but also can be folded into the d-pillar for maximum cargo room. The door cards are done in a matching material and are clean, tight, and taut. That's not to say the interior is perfect as the sunroof motor is on its last legs and there are some light stains on the headliner and carpet. Still, at 25 years old you'd be hard-pressed to find a nicer stateside option.

The mechanicals are loved because of their reliability and simplicity. Under the bonnet is a stout 2.8L turbodiesel. Fresh off an oil and filter service, this four-banger churns to life with the twist of the key. Making prodigious torque off the line, this Pajero never struggles to keep up in traffic. Mated to an automatic gearbox, which shifts as it should, this SUV is geared properly for US interstate speeds. The suspension is also more refined than you might think and is an upgrade over the base level trim cars. These adjustable damping units have a firm and soft setting to adjust ride quality on the fly. It takes large and small bumps with confidence, goes where you point it, and it brakes just fine to boot! The aftermarket six-spoke alloy wheels look sporty and are wrapped in new all-terrain rubber. These new tires will provide plenty of grip on all types of surfaces and should last for years to come. We even replaced the spare tire, as well!
