Honda can pretty much build anything, and over the course of 70 years they really have produced some incredible motorcycles, cars, ATVs, and jets! This RA1 Odyssey was the brand's first foray into the minivan market, and what a wonderful platform it is. Efficient, reliable, and spacious, this long-wheelbase transporter is comfortable to drive and inexpensive to own. Finished in a gorgeous Bordeaux Red Pearl the body is in good shape aside from some minor dings, chips, and scratches associated with normal use. Offered with a mere 48K verified miles this well-equipped 1995 model has been recently serviced and can be immediately put into the daily rotation. It's a turn-key Japanese Classic that can be enjoyed by the whole family and you won't want to miss this one!

The cabin is in wonderful shape overall and it's clear this van was cared for back in Japan. The interior is trimmed in several neutral gray hues that pair well with the burgundy exterior paint. The dash is in good shape and lacks any cracking or distortion. It includes functional digital climate and OEM audio. Unlike US model vehicles, the JDM examples had standard dual-zone climate control to keep everyone in the back happy. The driver and passenger have plenty of storage, and the pilot even has an adjustable steering column to find the ideal driving position. Power windows, door locks, and mirrors are all standard and work as they should. The gray carpets are clean as are the door panels, and the seats are above average in condition. They lack any major rips, stains, or tears and look better than a five-year-old van!

The beauty of the van is its simplicity. It shared the same plant as the Accord for its initial run so subsequently many of its parts overlap with the other Honda models from the era. Powered by an F22B four-cylinder the engine is fresh off an oil and filter service. It starts up promptly aided by a newly installed 12V battery that should last for the next four years while supplying plenty of voltage for cold starts in the dead of winter. The 2.2L idles nicely and breaths well thanks to a new engine air filter. Mated to an automatic transmission, power is sent to the front wheels. The gearbox shifts as it should and the drivetrain is nestled atop the drive wheels so that the RA1 gets traction in inclement weather. Acceleration is great for daily use and merging into traffic is never an issue. The power steering is light and direct, and the brakes feel confident when depressed. The suspension is compliant for daily use and the wheels are all wrapped in new tires at all four corners. These new all-season units quiet the ride down nicely and will provide tons of year-round grip for tens of thousands of miles to come.
