Honda hatchbacks have always been desirable for brand enthusiasts. The latest legal import in the long line of Civic's is the EK generation. This 1995 is finished in an understated Cypress Green Pearl (G82P) and the body is in good shape other than some normal scuffs, dings and chips associated with normal use. Powered by a peppy single-cam inline-four, this unmolested Honda drives very well and is fresh off a recent service. At only 103k verified miles, this economical and unique Honda liftback is collectible, reliable, and a bonafide Japanese Classic.

The cabin is in wonderful condition overall and surprisingly includes quite a few creature comforts. Power windows, locks, and mirrors all work as they should and the driver even gets an adjustable steering column. The view of the road ahead is clean and unobscured. The dash is in good shape and lacks any cracks or age-related distortion. This Civic also features operational automatic climate control. The display is intuitive and easy to use. The seats are upholstered in a soft, gray and blue textured cloth. The front buckets and rear bench lack any major imperfections such as rips, stains, or tears. They are soft to the touch, supportive, and comfortable on long journeys. The rear bench can fold flat for a larger cargo volume if you have some gear to transport. The door cards, which match the seating surfaces, look fantastic and show little if any wear. The carpets are clean, as is the headliner, and even the owner's manuals are still sitting in the glovebox.

Honda is known for building some of the best powertrains around and this one is no exception. Powered by a D15B single cam engine, we have taken care of a fresh oil and filter service to ensure she stays happy for the next 3,000 miles. A new 12v battery aids ignition and should be good for another four to five years. Mated to an automatic transmission, power is fed to the front wheels. The gearbox shifts as it should and lacks any clunking or hesitation. Acceleration could be characterized as peppy and the 1.5L breathes a bit better thanks to a newly installed engine air filter. Cruising on the highway is comfortable and the small exterior dimensions are ideal for city use. The suspension has received a refresh and includes new rear-wheel bearings and a front left tie rod. The factory steel wheels were ditched for a set of HX alloys that have been wrapped in new all-season rubber all around. The new rubber works wonders to quiet down the ride, should last for years to come, and provide plenty of year-round grip!
