Stock #5975The HiAce is a pavement-pounding, people-packing, four-wheel drive super van that is a tough value to match. Powered by a legendary turbodiesel engine, this reliable and efficient eight-seater can be put to task year-round. This Super Custom model has been refinished in a one-off Icelandic White, and is set off by refinished aftermarket 15" alloys, grippy all-terrain TOYO rubber, and a rare rear one-piece mudflap. Aside from a front bumper replacement in Japan and a couple of light dings and imperfections, the body is in good nick and this rig is fresh off a recent service! Boasting a mere 87k verified and documented miles, this baby is just barely broken in, and turn key ready to ride. Perfect for a family outing on a sandy beach, a weekend getaway in the mountains, or the daily commute to drop the kids off at school, this Toyota can do it all. Tough, torquey, and tenacious, this Japanese Classic is the one!The cabin is clean, comfortable, and in above-average shape. The driver benefits from a tilt-adjustable steering column and a front SRS airbag. The seats are trimmed in a soft gray cloth. They lack any major rips, stains, or tears and are fairly durable, too. The middle row swivels and folds flat to be combined with the rear row for those who want to catch a quick catnap or have a camping trip planned. For daily use, dual zone heat and air conditoning are key, and functional power windows, door locks, and mirrors make the experience even better. Even the side door power closes, to keep the battery from draining if accidentally left ajar. The OEM audio works like a charm, too! If you prefer manual ventilation, the side windows pop out and the rear and front sunroofs tilt upward. The headliner is in good shape, as are the carpets and door cards and it appears this van was cared for in a prior life overseas. That's not to say the cabin is perfect as we did want to note some small holes in the center console and dashboard from a navi or tv mount, the right power folding side mirror function is inoperable, and the center sunroof no longer retracts. Still at this age is remarkable how well this HiAce was cared for.The mid-mounted, Full-time 4WD layout of this vehicle is uncommon in today's minivan segment. It's a shame because this layout keeps the center of gravity low and the turn radius tight and tidy. The heart of the beast is the legendary 1KZ-TE engine. To keep the 3.0L chugging along we installed a new valve cover gasket, and replaced the engine air filter and fuel filter. So the electronics stay properly powered we installed new accessory belts for good measure. The four-banger is linked to a smooth shifting automatic that makes good use of the powerplant's broad torque curve. Acceleration is better than most expect when they get behind the wheel and this Super Custom will cruise comfortably at sustained highway speeds just fine. It offers a refined ride as well, taking small and large potholes alike with confidence. You wont be able to hit an Apex like a Ferrari but new rear swaybar endlinks keep the back end in line and reduce undercar squeaks. The power steering is light yet precise and has been improved with new left front inner and outer tie rods. New 28" Toyos complete the package and will provide tens of thousands of miles of grip to come.*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
