We have always felt that the van segment is full of hidden gems in Japan, just waiting to be unearthed and polished. This 1994 LiteAce is one such lovable and useful little runabout, with room for eight adults and plenty of cargo. Packing an efficient diesel engine and fresh off a recent service, our GXL is turn-key and ready to rock boasting only 80k verified and documented miles. Finished in a classic Greenish Silver Metallic over Dark Green Graphite two-tone, this Toyota is set off by a subtle set of OEM rainguards, a set of mesh alloys, and the sweetest vinyl wrap east of the Mississippi. Aside from some dings, chips, scuffs, and loss of luster to the clear coat, the body and paint are in fine shape overall. Rocking a couple of upgrades and loads of equipment, this hauler is ideal for families on the go, adventurous types, and JDM enthusiasts alike.

The cab-over design is great for exterior visibility and ease of parking. The view of the road ahead is clear and commanding as this van rides taller than your average sedan on the roadway. The bubbly profile lends itself to abundant headroom in the event you're a budget-conscious NBA star, or carry your favorite cello around for the occasional impromptu jam session. The dash lacks any cracking or fading and includes a simple-to-use dual-zone climate control system and an upgraded Sony head unit with an integrated auxiliary input. These two items, and the working electric mirrors, power windows, and electric locks make daily use enjoyable. The seats are trimmed in a soft gray cloth. They lack any major imperfections and are comfy on longer hauls. The middle row can swivel, and fold flat as well. Those in the rear even have pop-out side windows if they prefer a little bit of extra ventilation. Aside from a few minor nicks in the rear of the headliner and light staining on the carpets and door cards, it's clear this little van was cared for in a prior life.

The LiteAce is a perfect size, fitting in between the 660cc kei class of vans and the full-size HiAce and Delica models. Unlike smaller displacement haulers, this 2.2L turbo diesel sails up to highway speeds and can sustain them with ease. Fresh off an oil and filter service, the 3C-T turns over quickly with the twist of the key. It idles with confidence thanks to a new fuel filter we installed while it was up on the lift. The new owner will love the fact that the timing belt and water pump were done recently, and that we also replaced the old weary valve cover gasket with a brand new one. The four-banger is linked to a smooth-shifting automatic gearbox and sends power to the rear wheels. A new transmission output seal ensures the gearbox will stay topped up on every drop of precious lubricant and shift seamlessly. The power steering is light yet direct, and we have installed new front and rear sway bar bushings and front upper ball joints for some added peace of mind. Predictable and able to handle the rigors of daily use and abuse, we like these softer suspension types compared to our stable of stiff sports cars. The brakes feel confident and the wheels are all wrapped in all-season Hankooks with plenty of tread left. There is even a tow hitch installed for your favorite jet ski or pop-up camper to tow along with you!
