The 80 series Land Cruisers are iconic for a reason. Its mix of off road capabilities, legendary reliability, and low cost of ownership make this SUV remarkable. This particular example, is a 1994 with only 114K verified miles on the 4.5l straight six, gasoline power plant. Its rugged looks, and mix of cosmetic, interior, and suspension upgrades make it the ideal turn-key daily driver, family hauler, or off road toy. Finished in Black Metallic (204), the body on this FJ80 Land Cruiser is in good condition, with signs of normal use. The rear bumper has a ding on the passenger side, and a scuff on the right hand side, otherwise the exterior has no major blemishes, dents, or dings. LED front turn signals and rear tails look incredible at night and really modernize the front and rear end. Chrome bumper inserts, fuel door, OEM aluminum side steps, and OEM optional mirrors dress up the bodywork and add some convenience. To complete the off road look, our trained technicians have also installed four newly powder coated silver OEM alloy wheels, wrapped in brand new Renegade 33" off road rubber all around.

The interior is also in good shape. The seats are in particularly good form, and overly sportive. Nicely fit leather seat covers in charcoal protect the factory material. A large sunroof sits atop the cockpit up front, complete with proper operation of the venting and sliding functions. The dash has a small surface crack, but it doesn't rattle and can be easily covered by a dash pad. Rear occupants have their own a/c options. Power locks and windows are standard with A/C and heat functioning properly. The front door panels have had aftermarket speakers fitted, and an aftermarket headunit has also been added, which plays both CD's and DVD's. The carpet and headliner are both in very good condition with no major staining or damage. A beautiful wood grain Nardi steering wheel has also been fashioned, providing some opulence and contrast to the darker cabin. To match the wheel, a light burl dash overlay. breaks up the dour colors of the cabin.

Mechanically this 80 series Land Cruiser has one of the most reliable and desirable engines available, the 4.5l straight 6 gasoline 1FZ-FE. This workhorse engine starts right up and drives like a dream, care of 12V power from a new battery. We performed a fresh oil service ensuring that the next owner need not service this truck for another 3000 miles. Surprisingly, the inline six is nearly vibration free, and the cabin is more quiet than our average SUV. The 4WD system functions properly and the automatic transmission shifts smoothly. As many off road enthusiasts care to know, one of the most desirable options is the electronically locking center differential and front and rear limited slip differentials. Best of all, this particular Toyota is equipped with them, and they function fully. A two inch lift has been installed, and combined with the tires, give the SUV a bit more off road worthiness. And despite the rugged aesthetic, the SUV does do remarkably well on road, and takes pot holes and road imperfections without a complaint. Whether it's a trip snowboarding in the mountains, or a quick pit stop at the local Costco, this capable turn-key Japanese Classic can handle it all.
