The GC8 Impreza is really the car that put Subaru on the map between its 4 door practicality paired with its rally-inspired driver's feel. The lightweight chassis makes for an exceptional driving experience. This 1994 model made its way to us with only 52K verified miles, surprisingly having been left nearly all stock. Known for its symmetrical all-wheel drive, communicative platform, and torquey two-liter boxer four the Impreza is an absolute blast to motor around in. The Light Silver Metallic (406) exterior shows very well barring a few typical light scratches in the clear coat. The body is in the same shape with just a few typical door dings you would expect to find on any vehicle. To complement the factory aero a more sporty set of 17" bronze with polished lips 7 spoke wheels were fitted.

The interior on this WRX has stood the test of time and is as comfortable as it is beautiful. Unlike the typical gray and red seats that we see, this one is fitted with a much cleaner looking gray and black seats. The more subtle look of these seats gives the Impreza a more mature look. The OEM seats are in good shape, however, the driver's seat does have the typical bolster degradation from getting in and out over the years. The same can be said about the dash and door panels upkeep over the years. Even the optional Nardi steering wheel and stock shift knob are in great shape, which is a bit surprising as they're typically high wear items. While these were built with rally intentions, that doesn't mean you'd have to do without the basic creature comforts. Power windows, power-folding mirrors, full climate control make it a great daily driver regardless of where you live. There has been a small changeup to the interior which is a newer Kenwood radio to make space for a really slick set of Lamco gauges to monitor vitals.

The heart of the WRX is the EJ20G; a small displacement, horizontally-opposed, engine mated to an AWD 5 speed manual transmission. This configuration results in a lower center of gravity and that trademark Subaru rumble that emits from the exhaust pipe. The power delivery is exceptionally linear and feels as if it never wants to end. With its proper 3 pedal setup the 5 speed shifts fantastically. The clutch engagement is fluid and delivers the power to all four wheels with little effort. Since it retains the factory suspension it's more than comfortable on your morning commute, while being built to handle those twisty back roads when you want to have a little fun. Having been so well maintained over the years it needed little in the mechanical department, four new tires and a standard oil change have it ready to take on the worst of the winter weather ahead. The WRX has been an icon for Subaru since its inception, and while the more modern models may be more technically advanced, the original version brings back that raw feeling of what made these so great, to begin with. This lowe mileage, well-maintained, example is the epitome of that, don't miss out on this true Japanese Classic.
