Nissan's newest eligible generation Nissan Skyline coupe has arrived and exemplifies why we love them so much. Boasting a larger and more powerful engine, improved interior, and more refined drive, this two-door sports car exudes Japanese performance. This particular example, trimmed in Super Clear Red (AN0) with its complementary gray cloth is a great OEM example, both mechanically and cosmetically. The body lines have been preserved without any cluttered lips, high rise spoilers or ground effects that we see on so many cars these days. There's something refreshing about finding a stock car these days, simply taking in the factory Type-M aero. The unique crimson tone has great depth, and really pops under the sunlight. Of course, there are some scratches in the clear and some stone chips that any 26 year old vehicle will accrue over its lifetime. The body is straight and has been well cared for in Japan, as you might expect with only 85K verified miles. The factory wheels have some normal scuffs, but beyond that, there is little to complain about on the exterior of the car.

The interior is what you would expect from a low mile car and is in overall great shape. The more robust platform of the R33 had some benefits trickle down to the interior; the increased chassis stiffness lends itself to fewer squeaks and rattles, making this a nice daily driver option. The seats are trimmed in a soft, gray executive cloth, are all in excellent condition showing only minor wear from normal use. The bolstering, which is normally the first thing to go, has held up great and this powerful cruiser is comfortable for hours on the highway. The door panels are in great condition, and the headliner is clean and doesn't sag. The dash, unlike most R32s, is undistorted and crack free. There are two spots to note, both of which are plastic trim on the center console and driver's door card. As you can see in the photos both pieces do a show a good bit of scratching, but they're still in one piece so you could always refinish them down the road. Overall the interior has been kept as OEM as the body with the exception of an aftermarket head unit that most will want to replace anyway. All of the power accessories of the time came fitted; power windows, mirrors, locks, and an automatic climate control.

Beauty is only skin deep, and the best part of this vehicle is under the hood. The power plant is the venerable RB25DET, which is famous for being not only reliable but easy to tune. The turbocharged straight 6 fires up quickly and idles silky smooth, and provides a noticeable uptick in torque over the RB20DET it replaced. Not only was displacement increased but the turbocharger was a bit larger as well. The RB fires up quickly and pulls hard throughout the RPM range. The transmission was also upgraded on the R33's and is a stronger gearbox than it's predecessor. Shifts through the 5 speed manual transmission are hitch free and smooth, while the clutch engages with ease. The stock suspension rides well as we've put new struts all around, and is more than capable when the roads get twisty. To ensure that everything continues to function properly our trained techs have gone through the car. Four new tires help keep the car planted in the twisties. It also has a fresh oil change and a tune up to the A/C system has everything back and ready to go. For those looking for a particularly clean, all stock, car that's just as happy pulling daily duty as it is tearing up back roads then look no further. This GTS25-t is the ideal candidate for anyone looking to stand out in the crowd.
