The Nissan Cima exudes luxury and class, without flaunting it. The classic proportions, V8 and rear-drive architecture, and quality interior make this the perfect VIP chassis. This 1994 example is finished is a beautiful Cloud White (WK1), the body is in good shape other than some minor scuffs and sings associated with normal use. The rare OEM aero, rain guards, and Work wheels create an elegant aesthetic that does scream that you need attention. Brought up to date on maintenance, and legally imported, this special custom salon is a one of a kind.

The prior owner spared no expense in updating the interior, utilizing huge swaths of leather and wood grain to accent the already well-equipped cockpit. The dash, headliner, and carpets are about the only things left unchanged, and they are all in above average shape without any major imperfections to note. The driver is greeted with Momo wood and leather steering wheel, and even the adjustable column has been hydro dipped in a wood grain hue. The control panel boxes below the column control the functional power-folding mirror and interior illumination as well. Other power options include windows, locks, and both front seats. Even the minor details such as the door pull, grab handles, and visor trim have wood burl accents. Visibility isn't half bad, even with the privacy tint, and the gauge illumination is great at night. The cluster itself is produced by Impul and is very rare. Due to this upgrade, we couldn't certify that the miles are actual, but the car's condition we certainly can vouch for. The custom seat covers are done in a camel and cognac combo and match the door cards which are done with the same leatherwork. They are even accessorized upfront with Cima neck pillows to ensure you are properly supported. They are in wonderful shape, still soft and supple, without a rip, tear or hole to speak of. The center console lid has also been reupholstered in the darker leather shared with seats. Longs cruises are incredibly comfortable and the Cima can seat a total of five occupants. Those in the rear have plenty of room and ride in comfort as well. Vistoso curtains complete the VIP look and use a black linen material so they don't stand out, and those with a keen eye will note the custom embroidered sun visors mounted above the windscreen.

The Y32 platform has a ride that is silky and smooth, but unlike most of our Y32s, this one has the 4130cc V8 under the bonnet. Turn the key and the eight-cylinder comes to life, with an omnipresent burble that only gets better under load. The engine benefits from fresh semi-synthetic oil service, and no scheduled maintenance is required for another three thousand miles. Acceleration is brisk, and the four-door effortlessly hurls itself above US freeway speeds. Power is sent rearward through an automatic transmission, which shifts as it should. The OEM suspension does an especially good job of sorting out road imperfections, large and small. The steering is light and the brakes do a nice job of slowing the heavy sedan down from interstate speeds. Work Euroline alloys sit at all four corners with its pronounced lip fills the wheel wells properly for perfect fitment.

This Japanese Classic is much more custom than your run of the mill Nissan. The special interior appointments, V8 powerplant, and unique bodywork make this a top pick for any JDM enthusiast.
