The S13 has been long known as the swiss army knife of coupes. It doesn't matter what you're looking for, this chassis can do it all, and well at that. Stanced out show car, drift missile, autocross car, or daily driver, take your pick. Our 1994 series two-car is a great mix of sporty yet not too extreme for daily duty. While it originally left the factory Concord Grey (LN1) it has since been fully swapped to a custom greyish purple hue. The color looks amazing and unlike anything running around; it looks almost as if it were a rare factory optioned color. Presumably, the car was resprayed when the full body kit was added as the paint match is pretty spot on. The Chargespeed style kit really gives the car a more aggressive tone, reminiscent of the factory Type-X aero. Luckily with the Concord Grey color from the factory, the engine bay comes black making the only noticeable spot for the change coming from a small variation inside the door jambs. As for the body, barring a few routine door dings, there's really nothing of concern to report. Naturally, aftermarket body pieces don't line up quite as well as the OEM ones do, but this one fits up pretty cleanly. 15" mesh wheels give it a very period-correct look, as the JIC coilovers get the ride height dropped to a more fitting height.

'94 marked a small revamp to the 180's interior with a subtle two-tone grey wavy pattern for the seats and door inserts. There is a small bit of bolster breakdown on the driver's side seat bottom, however, it is free of the more concerning issue of tears or seam separation. The passenger seat looks great, while the rears look to have hardly ever been used. All around the interior has been kept pretty much stain and tear-free over its last 67K verified miles. While the steering wheel was replaced with a deep dish one, all around the interior has been kept stock. A fitted dash mat was added to prevent the typical S-Chassis dash cracks from getting any worse and does class up the interior a bit. All of the driver controls are all at arms reach, and the 180 has all of its power accessories functioning like the power locks, mirrors, windows, and digital climate control. It even came fitted with a factory turbo timer that can be set

Pop the hood and you'll find the iconic blacktop SR20DET. The Aluminum 2.0 liter has become an icon, and not only in the S Chassis world. Unlike all of the USDM models that have to undergo a transplant, the JDM spec vehicles came from the factory with the proper motor choice. With a quick turn of the key, the four-cylinder jumps to life with a deep rumble from the Fujitsubo catback exhaust. For the most part, our little S chassis has been kept largely stock mechanically. We typically gravitate towards these low mileage, minimally modified ones since they've typically lived an easier life. It does have a Trust Airinx intake was fitted which makes all the right noises when you let off the throttle. The 5-speed shifts with ease and the clutch is very forgiving, mostly in part to the fact we just replaced it. The stock gearbox is nicely gated and provides a very crisp engagement. The JIC coilovers do stiffen up the ride, but nothing that you couldn't live with on a daily basis despite the abundance of poorly maintained US roads. Since having our techs go over it and put all new tires and a routine oil change, this one-off 180 is ready to hit the streets. Its lines have never gone out of style, the motor has become a legend, and drive backs it all up; the S13 truly has stood the test of time.
