#6065At home on the Serengeti, the beaches of North Carolina, and on the interstate, the iconic 70 Series is a versatile vehicle. It's also capable, reliable, and underpinned by a surefooted 4WD system, making them ideal year-round daily drivers. This 1994 adds a healthy heap of style, finished in a fresh coat of Acura's new Tiger Eye Metallic paint. Set off by a 2" lift and 16" multipiece alloys, privacy tint, OEM rainguards, and LED taillamps sweeten the package even more. Fresh off a recent service, this trusty Toyota has only logged a mere 139k verified and documented miles on the ticker. Optioned with a desirable rear locker and powered by one of Toyota's best diesel engines, this Prado is a sure bet. Collectible, cool-looking, and inexpensive to maintain, these determined Japanese Classics rule the road! The cabin is clean, spacious and includes several upgrades. The tan seat covers steal the show, protecting the alcantara below. They add a nice bit of contrast to the colors of the cabin and are in above-average shape. Another modern upgrade in the Bluetooth-equipped Pioneer radio, which sounds great and supplements the turbodiesel soundtrack. A/C and heat are available on demand, and power windows and an electric sunroof can be unfurled to add some natural ventilation. So that daily use is more enjoyable, the driver benefits from functional power locks and mirrors, and a tilt adjustable steering column allows the pilot to find the ideal driving position. The headliner and carpets have withstood major abuse over the years, as have the door cards, and a rare OEM cargo mat can be found in the boot. That's not to say the cabin is perfect as there is some wear under the steering wheel cover and a few typical dash cracks that plague these J78s. Still, at twenty five years old this old truck has held up remarkably well and we think the next American owner will agree. This body on frame platform is a tough one and is still in production today! The 1KZ engine is also a gem, and is consistently one of the most reliable powerplants we sell. Fresh off an oil and filter service, this 3.0L churns to life care of two new 12v batteries. To keep all that fresh fluid internal, one of our trained techs installed a new valve cover gasket. Additionally, a new fuel filter keeps unwanted contaminants out of the four-banger, and 1KZ feels as strong as an ox. It's also linked to a stout automatic that is geared perfectly for city and highway use. Acceleration and fuel economy are best in 2WD but when rough weather or loose terrain comes this Prado's way, the 4WD system can handle it! If you're really mired in the mud, low gearing and an optional rear locker can be utilized. While the drivetrain is as good as gold, we need to sing the suspension's praises as well. The Prado offers loads of ground clearance and the long wheelbase makes highway driving more stable than three-door models. The trailing arm bushings were replaced as were the sway bar bushings, and the ride quality is such that you can daily drive this beast without getting beat up. The brakes are capable and the power steering is light yet on point. We also mounted and balanced new 32" Falkens at each corner to provide all the grip needed for tens of thousands of miles to come. *California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
